Stocks...

Instead of typing this again, im going to just paste what I posted on another forum…

Ok… I searched, and remebered there were threads on the topic, ive posted about it as well, but alas, nothing worth bumping up.

Well my extra cash finally came in. Im not going to divuldge into the total amount, but well say its good enough to be able to have 10-20k to play with in the market while being able to invest the rest in solid financial means.

Now I know some of you cant actually TELL me what to invest in because of liabilities, but what have you guys been lucky with?

To me, its the perfect time to buy because of the price of stock being low, and actually having the spare funds to do it.

I downloaded the iTrader app on the phone and have been messing with it. It mirrors all the stock platforms, and gives you 100k to play with, but with real stocks and real actions. Obviously it doesnt let me keep the real money, but its pretty cool to see how youd do.

The hardest part is figuring out a stock to buy into. Renewable energies, financial institutions, medical, electronics. ****, even Ricks Cabaret has stock on the NYSE wtf?!

The rest of my money will be invested in secure means, but I want something fairly risky, with possible good gains(isnt that the whole point?) but understand that the market has its ups and downs as well.

The stock market isnt that low any more. In fact, it may be overvalued for our current economic state.

I’m currently in UNG from hopefully the bottom in natural gas, and C because they’re still hovering in the 3 range from milking the government. Although their management is very flawed, the underlying assets are worth more than that.

The one I really im on the fence on is the Fannie Mae stock… Its sitting at around 1.26 a share right now, with a highest trade of 87.50 in the past 10 yrs. for 500 bucks just to have it, it can do one of two things, either go up, or fall apart all together, and with only 500 invested, im willing to take that risk and know that I MAY lose 500, or gain 40k if it ever tops out again at that high trade.

oh dear

LOL, do your self a favor and go to the casino, i think you’ll do better there

if you really want to take chances buy options.

Lol I knew I’d catch shit for that one. But for the price it’s not bad to have some in just to see if it rises.

It’s a 50/50 chance of doing anything but why not if you have it to spare

I never said I’d dump 10k into it but just to have a very high risk stock and leave it in there for sone years. I’m very aware that 500 will probably not turn into much but it’s all about chances.

DO RESEARCH ON THE COMPANIES YOU BUY!

As much as I hate the shows like Mad Money and how they pretty much manipulate the market, they do provide some great advice with how to research stocks and what to look for.

My recent venture has been penny stocks buying and selling weekly. Zecco has free trades each month so doing 20 trades a month has been profitable if you have the balance in your account.

I hear the lottery is really good for gambling also.

ford, metalico of buffalo, studio one media, multicell technologies (stemcell)

So are you trying to be aggressive? How old are you and what are you goals? Long term? short term? Saving for retirement or a new car?

Do you want income out of it in the form of dividends?

Choose stocks that follow your goals.

If you are saving for retirement, choose a long term “safe” stock, such as food.

I guess choose a penny stock in a new company

If a new company has a penny stock they probably mismanaged their IPO and are not setting a good precedent.

Or if they are on the pink sheet, they don’t disclose their assets and such to the SEC.

www.pennystockchaser.com has some decent info.

the pink sheets are like the east side of the financial world.

I wish i knew more about this stuff

If I was playing with the money, I’d be in options.

So fun tho. I love Pinksheets and OTC stocks. Move a lot and can have some fun on them. Forget this slow growth crap

Up almost 3000% today

I hear you can get good deals on LEHMQ these days

you want strictly stocks? what about bonds? or how about a duplex down payment?
