LAST UPDATE: Sept. 21, 2008
As a few of you may know, a fellow friend of many here in the capital district, Chris Lambert, was injured on his motorcycle a few weeks back. While on his road to recovery, I have been restlessly working on getting his EK Civic back into action (after a good deal of time sitting) as a surprise to keep him striving for recovery once home (which he is now home on outpatient leave).
Unfortunately between 1am and 7am this morning, someone had the joy of jacking his 17" gunmetal Motegi MR7 wheels (two of which had NeoGen tires, the other two have Proxes 4’s on them. These wheels are a universal 4-lug pattern!), security lugs and faceplate from his Alpine CDA-9887 deck that were installed on his car which was parked at my fathers shop, Govel Welding, located at 1932 Central Ave. The thieves broke into the driver’s side by ripping off the top half of the B-Pillar trim and dislodging the window from its track, and rummaged through the parts inside the car to find the lug key (which was BURIED in the back).
If anyone knows the whereabouts of these pieces, any help will be appreciated, accompanied with a small reward to help fill your gas tank if these stolen parts are found. Whoever finds these wheels and faceplate will be granted $100 from myself, although not much it is all I can afford at this point; as well as the respect from the Lambert family and friends, and the Govel family too…
The only pictures of the ACTUAL wheels are posted below, and I have none of the Alpine deck. The deck was a CDA series, HD ready deck with hide-away volume knob. I believe it was a CDA-9887 but that has yet to be confirmed as I have not had the chance to look at the remains of the deck.
