Stoptechs have arrived

Dude I remember that car when I was leaving. I love those things! There were some serious vette’s there for sure.

Good call with DS3000 track pads. I’m on my second set. They work very well however it’s very important to bed them properly.

Was this the yellow Z06 running in group 3A along with the Porsche Supercup/IMSA GT3 cars? If so, he was scooting! It was fun seeing the Porsche’s too. I get to see them every year at Indy (support race for the USGP) so it was cool seeing them on the “home track”. I guess those guys are from Latrobe. They were sporting nice Rolex watches which I assume is from their 2004 class win at the 24 Hours of Daytona.

Yea there was another yellow z06 there that was moving too. Its driven by an older guy. He drives it pretty well.

Yea that was him. He keeps getting faster and faster everytime we go. Last time we went he was running in the low 1:04’s. He might have gotten into the 1:03’s this time, but he cracked a rotor on the last session going into turn 1 and went off at 130 :eek2: .
Those GT3’s were disgusting though. They would walk away from him at any point on the track. It’s cool to see that they were from latrobe and that they won the rolex 24. Thats an impressive feat.

1:04 is a sick time.

We clocked the GT3’s at 59 seconds. Based on that I guesstimate an F1 car would easily lap BR at under 38-40 seconds a lap. :eek3:

Pretty sure this is the same team, this is from the 2005 PVGP pre-races at beaverun.

And yea Eric your estimate on the F1 cars is probably pretty close. The fastest things to ever go around beaverun are Forumla Atlantic race cars. They have all the same qualties just in smaller amounts (less tire, downforce, power is 200-300 I can’t remember). But the fastest of those lap in the low 50’s.
