I went to Wellsboro, PA last weekend to volunteer at the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally. The first rally I’ve attended, and I had a blast! I worked spectator control at three of the ten stages. There were 52 entries — from STis and Evos to a '92 Suzuki Swift and a 1st gen RX-7. Enjoy…
So since you worked this even WHY THE HELL DID THEY CANCEL 7 & 10? We waited at Colton point the first time through got cancelled because of drunken fighting or some shit but the second time through they didn’t tell us shit. This was the worst group of workers ever! We were stuck there till midnight before they decided to tell us we could go.
Every year at STPR a sage or three gets cancelled due to drunks. It’s par for the course.

but not usually a day stage and both stages at the same location was extra ghey. It was really poorly run compared to the last 2 years i have been to. It wasn’t even that bad that they cancelled it but woulden’t tell us that we could go for hours after they decided to not run. On top of that the workers were too busy taking pictures and chatting than looking for people on the trail. some shirtless redneck kid named bubba was wandering around the finish line after the 0 car went through subaru splash.

Lee and I waited for 2 and a half hours. The excuse of too many drunks is total bullshit because there were probably 50-75 course workers at that stage. They were more interested in shining the flashlights they brought than having the forest service arrest the 15-20 drunk people that were there.

Agreed, This event was run very poorly compared to the previous four or five ive been to. The viewing spots get more ludicrously far away each year. And the workers dont seem to be interested in actually policing the rules as much as taking pictures and chatting

My understanding is that there were problems with drunk spectators on stage 7 in a non-designated spectator area (which is why you didn’t see anything out-of-the-ordinary going on at Colton Point), someone was arrested.
Imagine waiting till the night stage too, we thought since we were there and i parked about 2 miles away we might as well stick it out and bam it gets cancelled again. i was sofa king pissed.
