Sept 29 Rally NY. count em up. who's goin?

Alright, i am an alumni of this rally 1 year running. out of the 9 or so rallies i have been to in the past year and a half, this was one of the more fun. Location is a huge bonus, and people in this area could definetly justify going.

I know this year some really fast cars will be there (note fast cars does not neccesarily mean fast drivers :)) and should be a good turnout overall.

so if you are going, want to go, need more info/have more info post it up in this thread. hopefully we can start solidifying plans…but i am definetly IN.

Couple very important notes…

THIS IS THE RALLY TO SEE THIS YEAR… WHY?

Its only about 5 hours away, and…

FIVE, yes that is 5 SUPER SPECIAL STAGES.

What is a SSS? TWO cars HEAD TO HEAD, in a stadium, spectator friendly course with jumps, etc.

Half of the rally is Tarmac, half is gravel, there are some BIG jumps, especially on the tarmac stages.

I will be there along with Bottoms, Audios, Poopra, and whoever else we decide to drag along. We will most likely be camping, and drinking… alot. We have the RV, so the camping shouldnt be too bad, we have a fridge and stove, etc.

So anyone who would like to check out an FIA Rally, close to home with more super specials than you will see anywhere else in the US, while chillin in the woods and drinkin a lot, you should heavily consider coming.

Bottoms race engineer Graham should also be haning out with us quite a bit, for anyone who doesnt know, he was a top engineer for prodrive who came to the states and opened his own shop. Brilliant man, and has worked with the WRC cars, prodrive ferraris, etc.

I will be leaving Thurs afternoon and staying till sunday morning. The rally friday/saturday. Feel free to follow me down or come friday morning.

if it was not 5 hours i wouldnt even think about it…less thatn 3 hours would be great haha

5 hours is too far? are you kidding me? Its probably more like 4.5 anyway… but seriously that is the lamest excuse ever for not going to a rally.

TRUST ME, its worth it.

Most of the events we attend are 8-14 hours, not including west coast rallies.

I am sure these forums will disappoint me yet again with lack of interest in REAL motorsports.

i hope to be there.

Its 300 miles away which can be driven in 4 hrs at a high speed, 4.5 at high speed with a stop. And 5 if your a poke ass and stop and run into traffic.

coming with us? PM me for details. We should have set plans on campground location, etc by this weekend.

I’d really like to go, but I definately have to work on Friday till at least 4. When are the SSS scheduled?

Everyone wants to see this shit…

4 of the SSS are friday afternoon and night, and one is on saturday.

im going…could someone pm me the directions? and dozer do you have extra space for a couple tents at your campsite?

i will talk to you tonight mr dozer

Anyone who is going, PM me your contact info and real name if i dont know you.

I’d love to go but it’s to short notice for me, maybe next year.

Whoever is planning this shit w/ you guys PM me because as it JUST SO HAPPENS (Meant to be) I am giving a training seminar less the 40 minutes from this THAT MONDAY… so I need to know when on thurday you are leaving (after 5?) and i could provide room in my can for the trip there, just not back… let me know… asap or hit me on aim

If I can bum a ride off of someone (gas and beer money would be provided) I’d be down. Timing is not the issue… its money for me. So the cheaper the better!

oh, if you’re going, then i’m out

just found out i am working crew for aformentioned graham. will be traveling down thursday after work. i can give a ride there thursday night (1 seat left), but after that you have to tag along with someone else who will be there by friday. give 10 bucks towards gas and call it good.

even though working means less beer drinking, and ultimately less spectating, i still get to see some of the SSS…so i am happy.

hope to see everyone there

I May or may not have a seat open, i will let you know.

no shit, i thought he wasnt providing support this rally. oh well.
