I need some info, before i make a decision.
I’m gonna get a LS1 Fbod (WS6 or Firehawk)
and i was looking for info on the STS kits
what kinda boost can be run through a stock LS1?
what can be done (lite mods) to withstain more boost?

This is my opinion but I wouldnt waste ur money on it. Just do a heads and cam and some other bolt ons.
Are you allowed to run those at the track? Wasn’t there some kind of rule that the turbo has to be mounted in the engine compartment?
i believe PRP has that rule. But i dont frequent the track much, and there are other tracks, that are a lot nicer than PRP.
there was a red ls1 camaro with a sts kit at cecil his car ran mid 12’s with slicks it was a joke i looked at his kit n laughed its a waste of money !
I caught this one on LS1Tech, a great deal. (not a STS system)
i’m just not at the point to buy another show car.

i saw this topic, and i’d thought this was going to be about swapping in an LS1 into a caddy
everything I read about the STS has been great. That mid 12 second fbody with an STS had a joke of a driver.
i wouldn’t do it
just mount it in engine compartment
dont run over anything!!! like a racoon or cat or something…then u might be missing ur rear turbo!!!
like jeff said, keep it up front!
death of raccoon due to turbo lol
x2
STS turbos are known to be one of the best kits out there for the LSx engine
not the best, but damn good bang for the buck
this guy has a good setup on his Black camaro
