205 is width, 55 is the sidewall height and 16 is rim size.
I got mine from tirerack. Last fall they had 14 inch steelies for my car for 20 dollars each, and they mounted them for free.
Pretty cheap setup and it works.
That would be absolute boners if they had a similar sale with 16" stealies.

update: purchased 8 tires today. 4 studded 4 not studded, total with shipping was 700 bucks. 
They look great and are almost identical to the hakkas of a season or two ago. Was $15/tire for studs, tire itself was $60.
55 would be the sidewall aspect ratio… just saying…
so a 275/30/19 would be a larger sidewall than a 205/30/19.

Got the studded General Arctic Altimax in! They look great. They shipped both sets of my tires studded so I had to send them back, and I already had a donut on my car.

Wow… I wonder who stole who’s tread design, because those look identical to my Hankook Ipike 409’s.
Someone said these are also almost identical to the Nokian Hakkas of a few seasons ago, which is what your tires are supposed to be. So Hankook and General took Nokian’s Hakka treads.

In any event… I was pretty happy with them in the snow, even unstudded.
Just got them mounted. I got a 50$ prepaid mastercard for buying two sets of tires so mounting was basically free. They look INSANE on the subaru.
Also got the rainx one piece winter wipers, I’m pretty pumped for this season
