Stupid D15

Hello guys
I know this isn’t Nissan related but I was hoping you can help me. I have an 1989 Honda Civic CX Hatchback, and I’m having some problems with it. I was driving along when my engine suddenly just stopped. I assumed it was my timing belt but upon closer inspection (these are loafers) it wasn’t the timing belt. The timing belt seems to be in fine shape. Now what’s happening is that when I turn the key, it makes a noise like its about to start but just can’t. For the last little while it would do this occasionally, but I would let off the clutch and try again and it would start fine. Usually after the second or third try.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure about Hondas specifically, but I’ve heard of this problem in domestic cars (mostly buicks) and the problem seems to be related to the fuel pump starting to die. You might want to get it checked out, if you have someone that can do pressure tests and so on for you.

Sorry but I’m putting this on lockdown, plenty of Honda forums out there, if this belongs anywhere on this forum it’s in Off Topic.
