What does zerodaze have to say about vw for cost effective, reliable daily driver?
Tom, that was a great post on what to look for
XanderA TDi will hold it’s value, but from the math you’re showing you’ll be upside-down for another 5? years if you go through with this. I’d say stick to where you’re at and you’ll be out from under a little before you’re done paying for the outback, which should be sooner than the above route.
Saving money on gas should set things off, but I doubt you’ll use if for extra car payments.
X…
I have to agree with Xander on this too^
you? pics?
I wouldnt count on it.
that is alot of fuel.
HHAHAHA… pwn3d…
TDI’s are hot, but the $ in the end isnt as much as dozr tells you.
that is all
I didnt even read his math.
I benefit from it a lot more than most people would, primarily since I drive around 25,000+ miles per year.
I figure I am saving approx $2500/year by driving the jetta over the outback I used to have (in gas savings), and I bet I could get that number quite a bit higher if i were to fix my injectors and timing.
This $2500 covers 90% of my car payments for the year.
I also got lucky and sold my outback right when outback prices peaked, so I made some cash on it.
