Bias, you have your friend and sponsor as judges. Dgtrials did not shaft me personally but other people were. Yes I have 2 drift days under my belt. I drift a 97 Nissan 240sx W/ an sr20det vtc.
As for the race line you are suppose to follow, the true race line not a drift race line. And if you watch Keiichi Tsuchiya(Drift King) or any other pro drifter they follow the race line as if they were in a race.
i judge car shows ( hot import nights, tuner wars n such) and you make friends with some of the competitors that show up on a regular basis, but that does not make us bias when we judge their car, in actuality some of us are harder on them than the others.
now you may ask drift…car shows… wtf how can you compare, well you can because you say being friends with a judge makes you a winner… definatly not
being a good driver + good drifting makes you win events, so far rozzo has proven that every event i have been too…
personally i don’t care who knows who, just show up drift, and have fun, isn’t this what it’s about… i dunno thats what i do atleast.

Line: best drift line not race line. Quite commonly on a lot of tracks here in the US there are two different lines. Your qualifying line and competition line. In qualifying line, it’s all about you! You and the battle against the track. To show your true skills on how quick you can adapt your skills as a driver and the ability to bring out the energy the track holds.
Competition line is not as flamboyant, a little tighter but not to tight, this is a battle against drivers to show who is a better lion tamer. Taming the track bring out the best drift and making it look easy.

so since you were implying things were unfair im gonna explain it or as whitey would say spell it out.
ty was actually running the start staging line because he had to be there to give his donated prises away
ryan ish and chris(i think it was his name) were judging
each judge has a score card and its broke down into different things
speed style clipping points angle ect
it is up to each judge to score things based on what he or she saw
the same goes for qualifying runs
after everyone is done running the points are added off of each judge sheet and then talleys to see the winner/qualifying order
now i know im no as smart as you but i feel that since everyones score sheet is offered to the competitors after a call is made, this makes everyone that entered to blame if they didnt think i should be where i was in the event.
i know you never go to these things cause there not timed but it is very obvious who the top 4 are in an event.
the only hard call seems to be the battle for 1 and 2 in the end of each contest.
if you ever went you could look at each judges card and see it ends up like being 1 or 2 points seperating first and second. if you feel that people are bias you can take that up with the judges and they will set you straight.

even if you take him outta the picture the other 2 judges still gotta think for themselves and the outcome would have been the same of better.
if you are questning my ability as a driver, do some research on where i went this summer and how ive done
for example i qualified 2nd at summit point us drift and i wasnt friends with a judge.
wagner was there,von gitten jr was there,matt martin,tony shults and the list goes on. how did that happen i dont know the judges
that was my 2nd or 3rd event in a car that was built in march and i never drove a rwd in drift till march this year. i feel that im doing pretty good considering.
if you still dont believe my ability,find me someone to battle me and we can settle this you can even video tape it! till then keep it straight and keep an eye on the time,you dont wanna be late!

I love drag racing. if you want to go faster just spend more money. When I hit the lottery I’m buying a top fuel funny car so I can run 4’s. I don’t have the skill to run 3’s.
