summer work practical

so im taking power engineering at nait, and i have to find a summer job to get some work experience. I have been applying but so far no luck :?

I was just wondering if anyone on here works for ANY oil company, generation plant or large production company that requires power engineers to run high pressure steam boilers. If you do and know they will/are hiring a summer student, please let me know.

thanks a lot.

your Best bet is to aplly online at oil campaies websites Shell, Esso, Petro Can.

However if you were looking for an industry job you should have handed in your resume in December and January, that when alot of the deadlines were.

Don’t forget Trans Alta, DOW, Celenese, Epcor, etc…

yan man, alot of those places(ie. dow, transalta) have posted job adds on the nait site. so they get like 60 resumes and then mine just blends in with everyone elses.

lots of places are still hiring but knowing someone that works for the company greatly increases your luck of getting the job.

thanks for the tips so far.

they have a big ass bulletin board near the lunchrooms in nait i was looking at it today and im sure i seen at least 2 for power engineering
