super moto, batavia, NY

i am trying to help promote super moto at the batavia track, so at that at the track we run a multi elevation changing cement section. It has 1, 55mph straight, and 1 65mph. ( bike pending ) The Corners you will encounter are both banked and off camber. Our dirt section is one of the best, bar none. It is alittle longer than your used to. (50% cement/50% dirt) So get in shape for this track ! Our biggest jump is a 60 foot table. All jumps are rider friendly, and somewhat safe by comparison. This facility is new to the circut, and is growing weekly. Expect big things in near future ! We run open practice every tuesday 5-dark, saturday 9-5 for $35.00. We race every Sunday 9-5 for $40.00. We’ve been adveraging 10-20 bikes at every event. Batavia Bike requirements (regular riders) http://supermotojunkie.com/images/smilies/arsenal.gif NO ANTIFREEZE!!!, carb. overflow/crank breather hoses to catch can, (safty wire/silicone) any major brake, exhaust, or wheel component, and any nut or bolt that holds back fluid, axle and peg sliders will be greatly appreciated !

If you have any questions, post em up, PM me, or view

Supermoto’s a wild sport. Cool stuff.

Is this that same place I can see from the thruway by Batavia?

you see area 51 the motocross track, we are right up the street and the end, the kart track, soon to be the old cart track lol

I’m like 99% positive this is BIMP, where we have a number of autocross events (especially BMWCCA).

Last year they connected the dirt and paved track sections (and added a bunch of stuff to the dirt section) for the moto people. I went out there with a buddy of mine to watch him practice a couple months ago, and it looked like a fun setup for bike people!

I think it’s a fun place to autocross because it’s one of the very few ways you can compare times across the years, but I know other people hate it.

Just checking… you’re not saying they are closing that part of the track for karts, are you?

no antifreeze…

Yep, Jr (AaronWilliams) was trying to get me to come when he was home from Iraq and our schedule’s just didnt line up. It’s at BIMP though, he has some cool photos from the last time they went.

Like me! I refuse to goto BIMP with a car.

no antifreeze is for the bikes, its much easier to lay down a bike and trash a hose or radatior.

i tried to talk to onyx about getting something together for NYspeed but i was shot down, and basically told the track was not to his liking/specs

BIMP is no place for a car, to easy to wreck, easily damage something, with little to no gain. There is no learning there, nor room for error, or room to push 10/10ths. It’s no place for a car, which is why it’s a kart track.

and bike

Yeah, that’s who I went with  Those bike guys are kind of weird, lol.

what bikes most guys running 450’s?

super moto at batavia is awsome. my good friend bob trimper owns the track n he is all about you guys going up there n havin fun. so show some support so you guys have a place to go. unlike us drifters that have no place to go. y would you refuse to take your car to bimp? help support it they are nice enough to even let u guys auto-x there. go n give some support, and they are renting karts too ten bucks for ten laps and they provide the saftey gear. if anyone has any questions about anything at bimp feel free to pm me as i represent the owner n have been a long time employee

ALL SORTS OF BIKES

lots of KTM 450s
drz400s
YZ450s
A bunch of 250’s get run too…

you ever at the track?
i totally forgot about the cart.
i spent most of last summer there and resurfaced " the rock " ( big table top )

some people are there on KTM510’s on guy on a KX250

i used to work there full time even before bob took over. i have been helping bob but not with the moto stuff but i talk to him almost every week. i used to race for romeo motorsports when they owned the track, i was also the mechanic and the driving instructor up there.

thats me on the outside row(#36) of a national event that was held back a couple years ago

Why? Hmmm let’s see, because there are steep dropoffs on almost every corner on the lower section, there is improper runoff for a car on EVERY section of the track, and the pavement junctions for such a small track are extremely unsettling to a car. It’s just plain dangerous and cars should NOT be on track there pushing the limits. Karts  SuperMoto  Cars, it’s not a matter of “showing” support, it’s a matter of safety, which it’s lacking. If I wanna goto the track I’ll stick to Nelson/WGI/Dunnville/Mid O/etc etc.

if safety is an issue y is it that when the scca goes up there they fill the whole parking lot up. the guys in the bmw club in the roc. love it everyone i ever talked to up there loved it. but everyone has the own opinion if you feel uncomfortable driving up there then your rite u shouldnt go

Learn to speak English you ignorant fuck. I know my concerns are shared by many others. Great SCCA generally sells out, I also dont AutoX anymore with the exception of 1 or 2 events per year. The seat time per dollar ratio just does NOT make sense. Let’s see, how many cars have I seen wrecked, or had serious offs at BIMP.

e46 M3
Z3
M Roadster
M Coupe
STI x 3
WRX
GT3

All either with damage or off track excursions resulting with them being inches from a serious dropoff or a barricade. If you think BIMP is safe to push your car 10/10’s :rolljerk: AutoX is meant to be a safe environment to push 10/10’s while having fun competing. If you wanna goto the track, goto the track, but dont try and classify BIMP as either “safe” or an “AutoX”.

ok, so dont auto x at BIMP, if i recall the title says SUPERMOTO.
i suggested auto x, im not about to go auto x my fucking S10
go hate someplace else, i posted this up to gather interest in SM and carts. for all i care you can auto x your whip at area 51 im sure its “safer” in your book
