Oh it most definitely did, especially with Sentinel Prime and his story. But they killed the story from day one with the first movie. I just went to see shit get blown up.
I was pissed when they killed off my favorite of all the autobots though. Plenty of other bots they could have cut.
Def the best of the three IMO though.
