Kyle, if all else fails call VRWheels. I called about widening the ladies old Equips that had DDC lips as well and they had a decent amount of options in stock.

The guy just looked at my wheels yesterday at my house. He said he cant do much polishing my lips. It has some oxidation on it. It’s not like rust or anything. I have one lip lightly bend and he said after he’s done with it, there will be hammer marks and burn marks on it. He also doesn’t do disassembly 3 piece wheel to replace new lip on. But he said he will talk to the guys at work to see what they say.
Phat,
Truthfully I think he does his best to stay conservative with his work and rightfully so, the liability taken to hammer out a lip on an expensive three piece wheel is immense.
When I spoke to him about the bend in my lips he was extremely hesitant as well, he advised that there could be heat marks and potentially tool marks in the lip after straightening. It took me a few minutes, but I explained that if he didn’t resolve the that bends, that was fine and I understood his standpoint, but that wasn’t going to stop me from using a mallet and wood to smash it straight (ish) once they where back in my possession.
I believe once the realization hit that I am a moron, he felt comfortable enough making a few more bucks off my stupidity ha
I need to try and take a pic of where he un-mushed the lip, but it is literally difficult to find.
Thanks Ian! I sent a bent wheel to a place in Boston, Mass. and not even a sign of tool mark or heat mark. I guess i will have to do that again.
How is he with repairing rash? I don’t have any bends in my wheels at all. My girlfriends dog jumped on me in the car and made me rub the curb at about 55 mph.
Is she still a dog owner?
I have to call him today about this, that story beats mine…but I did rash one of my buddies imported Simmons three piece wheels…#-o

Bump - anyone know if this company still around? What is a good contact # for them?

He’s still around. Just straightened a bent wheel for me in October.
Got a hold of them thanks.
I just called and will be dropping a wheel off at his house this afternoon. Must have caught a pot hole or something since it was cracked on the inside right at the bead. I guess $140 to weld is better that $600 plus to replace the thing.
