Honestly I’ve never been into going out and just test driving cars I’m not interested in at least a decent amount. Seriously though - some of the cars I saw there have been a little iffy. They get reasonably rare cars for this area - and every time I go check them out I don’t talk to people or anything…I just go take a look because it’s interesting to me and the cars just seem beat as shit when it’s “those” cars.
qtf. This is the only way to really negotiate a good price. If you don’t get them down enough, give them your number and walk away.
I went in there to look for a car for my roommate and they were very rude. Perhaps because I’m young?
I love how people say that about sales people… if you dont get low enough walk away…
Every salesman knows if the customer leaves there is is a 5-10% chance you will get them back in the door. So atleast at my dealership (Towne) we will give you are best price before you leave. Seriously!
I remember seeing that listed online, assuming it’s the white Canadian R. I didn’t get to see it in person before it sold. It did seem cheap at $12-13k. Salesman over the phone said they did have the hood repainted.
I will say this, the price they had on the window sticker was 4000 over the price they had on autotrader. No BS about it, just asked me what the price I saw it listed for and that’s where we started negotiating from. The salesman even said they leave the higher sticker in there so they have more room to negotiate if someone just walks in off the street. He said they keep a lower internet price because the internet shopper already has a price in mind that they’re willing to pay.
Some might think that’s shitty but I have no problem with it. If some moron wants to walk in without doing any homework and the dealer can get a few grand extra profit good for them. It’s not like the info isn’t easy to find.
Last bump because my deal with them is done.
Huge  from me. Great price, great customer service, really helpful getting the paperwork done on the CR-V for my mom with her living 5.5 hours away. I went in 12/20 at noon, signed the last of the paperwork, and left with the car by 12:15.
Here it is the night before we left on our Christmas road trip.
They, like almost all independent dealers are scumbags. When I worked for West Herr, we rented the back of their lot to store cars when we ran out of space. The old man who owns the place complained to us about everything that happened back there. Then he would wander through our auction, trying to buy cars as cheap as possible, before they went up to the block.
Also, when we bought cars from Canada, they did a lot of the cluster swaps for us, and they were constantly messing them up.
Overpriced? I remember a mid 80s Ford LTD Country Squire wagon they wanted like 5 grand for
God I hated dealing with them.
Very overpriced. I bought my SRT4 form them in 06. It was an 04 with just 16k on her so they thought it was gold and they wanted 19,500 for it. It was 2 years old and they wanted dam near the NEW PRICE. I told em 15,500 and they didnt even want to talk to me. Fast forward 3 months and a lil luck and they called me up. We settled at 16k. I felt it was fair at the time with a long existing warranty. When I picked it up I asked the salesman why it didnt sell and he told me BECAUSE ITS A STICK. He said so many people wanted it but declined cause it was a manual. Even said one made it into the car with keys in hand but couldnt drive it. What the hell is wrong with people? Anyway good for me I felt.
2 year old thread, homie.
Seriously dude, you did his earlier with the gto thread. Start reading dates before posting.
still waiting for the nudes
What is wrong with bumping this thread :gotme: they are still in business and I bet that people still look at cars from them. I actually was looking at a truck there online the other day. Nice to see this thread pop up.
Not creating duplicate threads is why I installed that auto title search thing when you go to create a new thread.
I know a guy that used to work there. That is all I am going to say.
I only mention it because he seems to have just randomly posted.
As long as it’s bumped, that CR-V I bought there has been perfect other than having to replace the really shitty OEM tires Honda puts on there. But after checking out some Honda forums it’s very common for the OEM tires to wear quickly. Put a set of Hankooks on there plus an alignment and they still look brand new.
yup, my mom went through the same thing when she bought her crv new a few years ago. the oem tires wear really quickly
