You can have a lawyer go through your driving record and go back to old tickets and get those points back. It’ll cost some money but you’ll still have your license.
I did this a ways back when I had too many points. The lawyer got a ticket I had two years earlier that I previously pleaded guilty to overturned.
I’m not too sure if this works if you went to school on all your tickets and/or took a deal from the town prosecutor but it might be worth looking into.
In some cases the DMV may grant you a conditional or restricted license that allows you to drive to and from work; your letter from the DMV will indicate whether you are eligible for such a license.
Suspension Termination
Once you have served your suspension period and you are eligible to get your license back, you may pay your suspension termination fees online in most cases.
Not all suspensions can be terminated online; read the FAQs to find out whether you are eligible, how much the fee will be (usually $25), what documents you will need, and more. Note that the suspension termination fee is in addition to any court fines or other penalties you paid.
That’s what 81mph+ on the 33? 8 points doesn’t kick in until 31 over right? :spank:
When will you be paying the fine? Can you take a point reduction class before hand? Maybe try postponing the court date just to give yourself more time to get some points removed.
EDIT: You know what’s even dumber than the 50mph speed zone on the 33? The fact that you only save 1.73 minutes by driving 85 the entire 8 mile length of the 33 as opposed to go 65. Wonder how much time you’ll lose dealing with not having a license?
I thought it wasn’t a point reduction class…I thought it increases the number of points you can get…regardless it still wouldn’t be enough to save him…
I really thought that “nySPEED” was the last place I’d receive a lecture about my driving habits. I wasn’t racing anyone, I was just cruising to my own beat.
Take the point reduction class, its like $35 and it also does reduce insurance its not one or the other. You get a certificate and give the serial number insurance company. Bring it with you to court also, they will probably mention taking the class if they know you go over and then you just show them that or if you haven’t gone tell them you will and they will do that but it only takes off 4 points and 16-4 is 12 so it’ll be right at the limit. When I went [they] had a sheet that said what to do when you have 10-11 or 12-14 or 14-16 points. This was in the city which is what I geuss you mean by buffalo cause they do have town court but if it is then the TVB does the suspension right there since its not a regular court. I believe the lowest is 6 months I think they have 3 months suspensions
