My car handles like shit, bumpsteers all over the place, smashes my exhaust, scrapes everything, and definitely at some point hinders my ability to take corners really fast… do I care?

Fuck no. Its slammed, looks good, and goes sideways. Hows that for scientific suspension geometry?

so i just want to know why these chinese made and japanese made coilover set ups are so much better than these two companys that are used in every form of motor sport on this planet

If you say better in terms of performance, then expensive springs and shocks can perform just as well as expensive coil overs. I personally own a set of top of the line dampers and springs, dampers which allow individual dampening and rebound control, properly valved for the vehicle, along with a set of properly rated springs, and they perform better than 99% of the coil overs out there. I also own a set of good brand quality coil overs which also perform amazing.

However; if you mean ‘better’ in terms of ‘why people buy them’, then, because most people dont even know what valving is, or how it even works, they go out and buy a product that they see desired because they see it on other cars like theirs and it does what they wish for it to do (ie. improve handling, allow ride height adjustability). Another reason why people buy coil overs vs spring and shocks is because for the price, coil overs are the bang for the buck, they normally come with the right valving and spring rate since they are made for the specific car, and allow height adjustability. Whereas most average shocks are normally just made to fit a range of different vehicles and 9/10 aftermarket springs out there do not even offer even ride height in the front and rear. So the moral of this story is, unless your a suspension know-it-all and unless you spend big money on custom valved individual adjustment dampening and rebound dampers, with a custom spring rate/length spring, you wont get a better deal out of springs and shocks vs coil overs.

coilovers can let you adjust height of vechicle without compressing the shock.(losing shock travel) Also let you maintain proper preload.

lol coilovers lets u jack up ur car in one pump to change the tire. normal shocks/springs takes 10 pumps on the jack until ur tires sagging down like old womans bigones…

I buy shiny shit. Period. If it can’t even look good then how can it perform well. You got to look the part to play the part lol. I picked them because like bing said its just much easier then all these custom spring and shocks blah blah. coils have it all and they make the gurls titties bounce.
