I never had good luck with reliability and suzuki motorcycles…
They’re effed now… (even though they havent announced plans to penetrate the motorcycle side, but if they dooooo… its going to be bad)

Interesting…gotta be a step in the wrong direction for suzuki though
I think this is referring to the auto division of Suzuki, and not motorcycles.
There’s an article in sportrider this week, it says, “we wouldnt be surprised if vw gets their way with the motorcycles… its no news to us that theyve wanted to penetrate the motorcycle world for a long time”
who knows… butttttttt if they do… suzuki is effed. lol.
the suzuki CEO looks funny
you owned what…one Suzuki motorcycle?
I loved that bike by the way.
i don’t know but I just bought a gixxer 600 last monday (finished bodywork/paint today, new clutch arrives tomorrow).
Hahaha, unless they make it a TDI 600/1000 it’s going to be the biggest shit pile ever
tdi sportbike would be :pimp:
what ive owned, and what ive seen happen with them are one and the same…
how many 99-03 gsxr 600s have i heard of spinning bearings? throwing rods? etc etc… How many k5 1000’s had clutch problems? and how many people do i know who had issues with their bikes? I rode a brand new 600 last year, it felt loose and not well put together…
dont get me wrong… they are fast bikes, super comfy too, the gsxr’s from 99-03 (all classes) were the class leaders for the most part through all those years… just never tickled my fancy.
ohhhhhh nice… details?
A+ lol
should get it back together today if the clutch arrives as it’s supposed to, and hopefully get the bodywork on. if so I’ll take a new pic
just bought it to sell
It’s only a 20% stake, I for one have had nothing but good things to say about Suzuki, takes a beating and never skips. I personally like Suzuki and Honda more than any other of the Japanese offerings.
What you own and what you hear is not necessarily always one in the same. I’m sure it goes the same for suzuki as it does for vw or any other vehicle manufacturer in the market. For every one owner that has a problem and posts up on teh forumz or vents to a friend, there is 10,000 other owners who will never experience such problem
Example: if I was a person who had never owned a vw and Chris was my only friend who owned a vw, I would probably never buy one because they sound like the worst fucking nightmare known to man. However, that is not the case. I’ve owned vw products and have never experienced anywhere near the problems Chris has.
Don’t judge a book by its poorly drawn cover.
Anyway, if vw and suzuki dive into the mortocycle market together and vw comes out with its own branded bike, this could be very interesting. Instead it sounds like they are focusing only on the automotive aspect at this point.
ilu will imu will
This is true… and the gsxr was comfy… but the suspension issue with head shake at 100 mph sucked… (you felt that i think)… it is a noted problem that requires a lot of attention to solve or specific tires, lol. (also, it wobbled like crazy when on one wheel, i think you witnessed that too)
I agree im sure there are a ton of great suzukis out there… and it was certainly one of the most comfy, straightline fast bikes i’ve ever owned… it just had a lot of issues that bothered me.
I’m not brand loyal to anyone, but my kawasaki’s have never let me down thus far, and they have taken “HANDS DOWN” the most abuse out of all my bikes without ever missing a beat.
ilu imu too… we’re going to be together in a month i hope
I love my bike. . Every bike will have its flaws. Sure, my CPS sensor did go, but it was fixed at Suzuki’s cost.lol I hope VW stays away from the bikes.
will got pwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnned
^move here already… and you can take off to the beach on your VW636R
