Hmm. I think you might have to have their phone service to get it, but I am not certain. Try calling the wretched customer service.
just call verizon to order it (not customer service, because theirs is realy shitty) and they’ll give you the DSL phone number of the house (thats what they did for me atleast)

I didn’t buy the phone service either. I am glad too, because their customer service sucks and I am made about the amount of time I have to wait for it to “go live.” I’m sitting around with a friggin router and no internets.
And I got the “naked” DSL and yet am not seeing nudity of any kind 
lol
