Just like the title says. Ive searched but just want some more opinions first. Simply I just go through the interior and cut with a exacto knife? I really only want the trim but the trims attached to the glass so yeah, this wont damage it?

get a windsheild knife. Its 90 degrees and has a handle and pull cord.
cheap at princess auto but the blades don’t last as long as better versions.
cut from inside would be easier
