Original owner may have died and either left it to the kids or the state (country) could have picked it up and then comissioned a bank to re-sell it. In this case it would be a very believable story.

… chances are that someone died, it went up with the estate, went to the bank, was sold then sold by the municipality… OR the fact that it’s in another country may mean that we have no idea what could or could not of happened…

it is not unbelievable that someone bought it and sold it without ever seeing it… i work with a few guys that buy and sell properties and houses all over the US from the internet…
