Has anyone on here been to one or going to the one this thursday and friday at the convention center, can you tell me what to expect as im not sure what i should be prepared with. any sort of input would be greatly apreciated
I’m guessing resume+ID+reference+transcript+certification.
If you haven’t gotten an interview with one of the local districts then get ready for a cattle call. Depending on your certification and number they give you when you arrive you will have to drop off your resume at which ever district will take it and put in for a time for an interview that will last maybe 10 min.
Now if you do have an interview with a local district, if they like you they will put you in a prefer pile for when a job opens up. They will ask you a set of 5-7 questions. Answer any of them “wrong” and your fucked.
You won’t need anything except your resume, they don’t have time to look at transcripts or portfolio’s.
Frankly your better off getting an interview with a district outside of Erie county, you could get hired almost on the spot.
The country is hurting for teachers except NY.
