If you want to eat three dollar hot dogs, go ahead, if not then there will always be a line of people at the place who will. Its hard to mess up that business, its a big money maker.
Just an update. Theodore’s Hot Dogs opened up at 1752 Grand Island Blvd. I stopped in today with my family and had lunch. If you enjoyed Ted’s you’ll most certainly enjoy Theodore’s. Not only is a lot of the food very similar, but a lot of the employees were previously employed at Ted’s. My dad’s rub is featured on one of their chicken sandwiches. Stop in if you get a chance, and try it out. It’s also cheaper than Ted’s is. I created a foursquare check-in so you should be able to check in there.

I’ve been going to Louie’s for 20 years and my dad has been going for 40 years since they were back on Bailey & Delavan. Nothing beats their red hots or “shitters” as many people call them. Ted’s and Louie’s are apples and oranges but they’re both really good. I’m talking about the other Louie’s btw not the one on Elmwood.
