The problem with the 1/2 table is the amount of bad beats you take. It feels like every beat is a bad one with noobs sucking out all the fucking time! When you step up to 2/5 it feels like a whole different table usually, and if you get beat, you got beat by a better player. Either way your wallet is empty, the only difference is the bruised ego
What online poker site has insta e-checks? I believe I played on PokerStars last year and the wait for my check was fucking retarded.
now both full tilt and pokerstars are using e-checks where you can just put in your checking infoā¦and have drafts taken out of it to make deposits and the other way around to have it put back into your account.
i use to hate the hassle of having to fax in copies of phone bills and birth cirtificates or whatever to full tilt, or waiting sometimes up to 6 weeks for a check from poker starsā¦it was such a pain, which is why i started going to the casino weekly and gave up on the sitesā¦but a friend recently told me that poker stars was doing echecks so iām getting back into itā¦and just for fun i updated my full tilt and saw they were doing in tooā¦so i may start playing on both again.
but i know this wonāt stop me from going to the casino, just prob will go there less nowā¦thereās nothing better than seeing the face of a guy you take down hardā¦and then making a separate pile of chips to the side, and when people ask what they are, saying āthese are his chipsā¦ā
thereās nothing illegal with actually playing online for real money from what iāve heardā¦the only legal issue is them having trouble finding a way to tax you on it, which is why they donāt want you doing it. if you claim it and what not, thereās nothing illegal about it.
a friend thatās into accounting told me also that you can only be taxed on pure profit from gamblingā¦so if you can provide receipts of losses totaling at much as you won, you dont have to pay taxed.
example:
you win $10,000 in a tournament.
you provide $7000 in receipts and say i lost all this much before hand.
you only pay tax on $3000 of the tournament winnings.
i know a guy that will collect losing scratch offās, every time he buys in online he prints up a receipt, every time you buy in for chips at the poker room in the casino you can ask for a receiptā¦
ā¦and hereās the good oneā¦go to OTB, and empty the garbage can of losing ticketsā¦youāll find thousandsā¦may seem gross to go through that effort, but considering he doesnāt have to pay a dime of taxes on his winnings, itās worth itā¦
So will poker stars take US customers then? I tried signing back up at pokerroom not long ago, and because of my region I was only allowed to play with āfunā money
like my previous post saidā¦this thread gave me the itchā¦so i went to the casino last night.
fucking idiot friends convinced me to sit down and play pai gow for a whileā¦ughā¦and as the saying goes, the house always winsā¦
in a game that has a supposed 63% push rateā¦i managed to lose $200 just betting $15 or $20 at a time in a matter of an hour and a halfā¦fucking ridiculoudā¦63% push my ass.
then i decided to āchase my lossesā as i like to sayā¦and go to the poker room.
sat down with $200 at $1/$2, no limit, $200 max buy inā¦and in a few short hours cashed out $665ā¦feels good making that kinda comebackā¦but sucks knowing my pure profit was nearly cut in half by that dumb main floor.
