Take off the blinders? He hasn’t done anything yet for me not to put my faith in him, yes its a gamble, but it one I’m willing to make.
As far as blinders are concerned where the hell was this style of criticism from you in the last eight years when we have had nothing but one fuck up after another under the guy you probably voted for?
I’m keeping an open mind, what the fuck are you doing other than being pessimistic?
There’s not enough :picard:'s in the world to accurately show the amount of fail present in your logic. We elect people because they promise to do things, that’s what getting ELECTED is all about. Getting RE-ELECTED is about what you’ve DONE AND PROMISE TO DO. Or it’s about creating social wedge issues to put on the ballot that get the bible thumpers out.
And everytime you say “black messiah” you just sound like a racist
yes joe i do know what that means. That wasn’t what i was trying to emphasize. my bad, i slipped up and gave you fuel to redirect the point i was making tward my mistake, your a good politician
Abraham Lincoln was ‘blacker’ than Obama yet every channel on tv is going off about how great it is we have made history, blacks weren’t even allowed to sit in a diner way back in the day and now we have one as president. Why is it all about race?
There is no arguing you, is there? I’ll try ot be happy for the re-eletion if you will allow me to do so. If you will let me still enjoy freedom of speech. But your thoughts > mine I guess.
And the black messiah is a reference that you have seen all over lately. Meaning the black second coming of Jesus as people are putting him way up on a golden pedestal.
:awdrifter:Obama
^^ closest thing I could find to a leghumper
BTW, and fine me anywhere that I praised Bush for what he has done. I’m speaking as a person that is open minded and not clinching onto promises.
I think I’m done with this topic. It’s going to start going into a circle now.
i dont understand how people call him the first african american president when he isnt, he is mulatto meaning part black part white… he is the 1st mulatto president not the 1st BLACK president
His skin is black. Blacks have gotten discriminated against throughout our entire history for their skin color not their geneology. That’s why it’s important.
"Were there other “black” presidents? Some historians have reason to believe people don’t really understand the genealogy of past U.S. Presidents. Research shows at least five U.S. presidents had black ancestors and Thomas Jefferson, the nation’s third president, was considered the first black president, according to historian Leroy Vaughn, author of Black People and Their Place in World History.
Vaughn’s research shows Jefferson was not the only former black U.S. president. Who were the others? Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge. But why was this unknown? How were they elected president? All five of these presidents never acknowledged their black ancestry.
Jefferson, who served two terms between 1801 and 1809, was described as the “son of a half-breed Indian squaw and a Virginia mulatto father,” as stated in Vaughn’s findings. Jefferson also was said to have destroyed all documentation attached to his mother, even going to extremes to seize letters written by his mother to other people.
President Andrew Jackson, the nation’s seventh president, was in office between 1829 and 1837. Vaughn cites an article written in The Virginia Magazine of History that Jackson was the son of an Irish woman who married a black man. The magazine also stated that Jackson’s oldest brother had been sold as a slave.
Lincoln, the nation’s 16th president, served between 1861 and 1865. Lincoln was said to have been the illegitimate son of an African man, according to Leroy’s findings. Lincoln had very dark skin and coarse hair and his mother allegedly came from an Ethiopian tribe. His heritage fueled so much controversy that Lincoln was nicknamed “Abraham Africanus the First” by his opponents. "
Now you get all crazy. You were wrong. It’s simple, it happens. People are elected for their first term based on what they WANT to do, they get re-elected because of what they’ve followed through on once they were in the position to do the things they said they wanted to do.
