the Actual Work-Out thread

Just started the 20 rep squat routine. Having a hard time drinking a gallon of whole milk a day but I did manage to put on 4lbs in 5 days.

^ good plan if you’re trying to gain weight and get stronger. Wished I had done that years ago.

Have you tried a burnmachine 12 lb speedbag? Stuiped promo video but you get the idea.

Knew I clicked that link for a reason, my HGH!!! thing went off.

That thing is kind of cool. I would obviously still do the speed bag to build up better control, but for strict muscle building and cardio, that looks like it would work well

started the new routine this week and my upper body is still sore as hell from monday

on a side note i ran 3.5 miles yesterday which is 3.5 more miles than ive ran in a year lol

I run one mile after working out each day, on my rest day I run 5

my lil bro just got this new isolate stuff, actually tastes good compared to this old shit we used to drink, i dont remember the name off the top of my head

I use Optimum nutrition Gold Standard, it’s a whey peptide & isolate blend. I can’t afford full isolate like I want, Isopure is my favorite, but it’s 2+X the $$$.

Not sure if it has been recommended, but don’t really feel like digging through 55 pages for it.

Is there a recommended iOS app for Calorie and exercise tracking, doesn’t have to be free. I have been doing weight watcher but I think i want to shift to a more calorie in/out driven diet with my workout routine.

Bonus points if the iOS app allows me to plugin in recipes and determine nutritional information.

If you want to try something different, this was a blast and I was sweating my ass off after it.

They have Dodgeball Tournaments and excerise classes too.

PROTIP: don’t wear jeans!

I use the app “Lose it!”. Has lots of resturants and name brand foods, along with generic foods.

I haven’t really found any great ones, but DailyBurn works ok for nutrition tracking and iFitness works ok for exercises.

Just started p90x, I’m 5 days in. It’s a total ass-kicker so I’m hoping I can stick with it and change my eating habits to match. So far so good.

Spin 5:30pm tonight, Golds gym in Williamsville/Cheektowaga, Studio B. Subbing for someone

^LOL!! I’ll take the hit for saying I’m going on here from time to time, but if it rattles someone’s cage to sack up and go get stupid at the gym… I’ll take the hit for the team.

doesnt really bother me, just thought it was funny and had to share lol

i have never experienced new years at a public gym before, my routine was 40 minutes longer cause I couldn’t find fucking dumbells anywhere

Thankfully my gym wasn’t any more crowded. The gym at RIT was a little more crowded but I have definitely seen it worse like at the beginning of the quarter. Yes, I go to the gym twice a day, lol. Once during lunch for some cardio then lifting with my buddy at night.

I switched my routine up and am now going to the gym in the morning before work. Except for Fridays, I am going to go straight from work.

No crowds at 6am!

Morning rush isn’t bad at the Lancaster Golds, there’s been a an increase in the bodies per hour number and class attendance as well as personal training and small personal training classes, but the floor in the AM has been pretty calm.
