The Best Chicken Wings

extra crispy wings from Pappas are my go to. always done the same every time. usually get half medium/half bbq. and they are only $0.25 or whatever the price is now. couldnt beat it anywhere back when they were only $0.10

The fat kid inside of me likes Nino’s BBQ wings.

Big fan of Gordons on Delaware. Had some from Bocce yesterday, ordered hot and they came mild/medium and well done, they were good for what they were but they weren’t hot.

Brennans actually does pretty good wings, they have one they call an Irish flavor that has a bacon glaze on it, so good.

sal’s on Olmsted ave in Depew has some great wings and homemade pizza logs

Pro tip for any of the Bar Bill fans who want a better beer option: Take your wings to go and stop in next door to Aurora Brew Works.

I like Buffalo Wild Wings, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Dominos…

I am a fan of Penoras (this are hit and miss depending on whos working but when they nail them, look out)
I also like the PUB on Broadway

But by FAR the best wings in the area are Pine Lounge or Wales Center Hotel…unless you want some fancy flavors other than mild medium hot. Then they may not be for you.

They do make mean BBQ wings but any other variety leaves much to be desired. I know this will sound disgusting but some of the best “old school” wings (Franks and butter) I’ve had in recent memory are at the Wimbledon Lanes bowling center in West Seneca.

wales center is phenomenal

Flattery’s are some the best I’ve had plus their blue cheese rocks.

I miss Rooties

Absolutely

Owner was gay…moved to Miami to open Rooties South and it all went downhill.

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had anything but bbq from there. I get wings so infrequently that when I do, it’s always bbq.

Wait, Marty was gay? Like gay gay? Or gay meaning he was a jerk and moved away?

When I first moved to Knoxville in 91, I used to have Marty send me sauce and blue for superbowl parties.

Gay gay

Usually have a few stables I go to.

The Jake (formerly Papa Jakes on Elmwood) now in Kenmore has always been my goto.

Elmo’s is alright but the service sucks and always slow.

Bar Bill in EA

Gene McCarthys in the old first ward

hotbbq finished on grill from tap room in old mighty plaza are legit

I have a Bar Bill problem…

I order from Besta all the time. They do not have the double dip cajun that Elmos has.

This sound like an idea worth the drive out to EA. Going to have any Bourbon County Stout available?

BCBS bottles were gone as fast as the cash register could process them. The tap stayed OPEN for 15 minutes straight pouring 10oz glasses for all the knuckleheads. Needless to say, it’s all long gone. Still plenty of Barrel Aged Narwhal however…

Not to derail, but a good friend who works at a beer store in Portland did $9200 in an hour just on BCBS sales.
