Got into it 2 years ago, picked up some cheap old school GT and beat around on it up SP with friends. ALmost built a bike from the ground up… then at the end of the winter, i bought my car lol.
I still have the thing and would love to jump in and beat the piss out of it agian. Needs new tires tho…
I was never into it. I skateboarded though. I’d love to take pictures of it though.

i did way back when… old school S&M Holmes FTW
back in the day here also. too fat, lazy, and old to do it now! I have a frame for sale if anyone is interested. I owned many bikes, Mongoose expert (before they were sold at K*mart) DK fury, GT performer (from the 80’s and yes it was pink) my one buddy had a S&M menstral cycle, man I loved his bike.

I raced for several years. I had a sponsorship from Torker, still have my team picture from the top of the hill at the 81 NBL grand nationals in St. Louis.
Helped build the South Park track. Knew the president of the NBL, went all over the east cost following the NBL tour. Raced a ton at the north park track. Remember a track in delmont that went around a lake. Winters at teh south park indoor track was a blast. Too much more stuff than I can type.
I just sold some of my old parts on ebay…I made a killing. Old school racers are restoring “vintage” BMX bikes and paying top $$$$ for stuff.

Ahhhhhhhhh, the memories. I have a couple of friends who just bought bikes to race in the 35-40 age bracket. I just laugh, but it is the fastest growing class in the NBL. At most nationals they have quarter finals.
I’m in love with this whole thread lol. I still have my S&M Dirtbike, hell everyone around here either had a Holmes or a Dirtbike. Matt Masick probaly lived little over a mile from me but rarely caught him out locally. I met him but didn’t really know him. It did give us a reason to follow what we could hear about PUSH now and then. We lost alot of our local areas (there use to be a place called Vinegar up near Curtisville I dunno if anyone ever made it out to there). There was a cheezy ass little skate park on Rt.910 that was our only stable home for many years. Ramps sucked and we all had bikes setup for dirt, but we’d go there on the weekends from 12 in the afternoon till 10 or so at night. Good memories, just for shits i’ll take my S&M our for a spin now and then.
If you go to the race tomorrow, I’ll be sporting an S&M hat. It’s dope.
Does 885 exist any more? Also, there is this place that has ramps and stuff on the way to delmont. I think it’s on curry hollow road or something like that.
I’ve always wanted a dirtbike. Dan’s comp has an LAF chainstay that looks pretty yummy.

We were riding street one night at Mt.Leb high school and the news was there for the teacher strike and they showed us ruining school propert on Tv and i said a few words to them and got on tv,roflmao! And i went to bethel…not mt lebo…
