Cadillac= not really a grandpa car if it is 556hp… or whatever the CTS-V makes
I still don’t understand why the power order isn’t V6 --> Z28 --> SS…makes no sense to me.
No it is a grandpa car
M5 is high performance luxury, but something comparable on a track is definitly only built for old people.
I only brought up the CTS-V since it uses the LSA which is the same engine that is being suggested for the Z28. And you are claiming that a Camaro using the same engine would hurt sales of a Corvette.
Hell they both have cobalt interiors, so who really cares
From what I understand that was the order for the 4th gens only. I have been told back in teh day it went v6, ss, Z28 which is what they are returning too.
True, but when someone mentions “Camaro”, you think of a V-8 doing burnouts. When you mention “Corvette” you think of someone doing even longer burnouts. When you mention Cadillac, you think of a Seville going 25mph in the 30mph zone holding up traffic for a mile.
Nice. I need some moneys now…
Well doesnt the base CTS have the 303hp V6 the camaro has? i think ever since they started playing Led Zeplin in there commericals… awhile ago, they turned more to the younger crowd… what do you think of when you hear Escalade…Im not gonna say it… but you know its not “grandpa” lol
With them putting SS on everything from Malibu’s to Pickup Trucks, I think it’s a good idea that Z28 is on top. SS has been cheapened.
Haha very true. They have come to a younger crowd ever since they promoted the V series of the cars IMO.
I love the drop top version of the Camaro tho.
I would agree that public perception and current products may differ.
Cadillac still moves plently of FWD DTS vehicles to an older generation, but the new CTS is a different story.
And the new CTS-V can do some great burn outs (the old one sucks at it since the diff/axles suck)
How are we this far off topic? Z28 is still alive.
 at LT1 owners saying a 500hp Caddy isn’t a performance car
When you think “Cadillac” you don’t automatically think of the CTS-V.
Go back to your classified perusing of cars that you will never actually buy, but you’ll make 50 threads saying “I am entertaining the idea of getting…”, “I am thinking of buying…”, “I offered this guy…”, “How are 5.0’s?”, “I found this on LS1tech…”, “I should just get this…”
Why are you even on a car forum? You drive DICK.
PS…don’t forget my LS1
Sadly I haven’t found what im looking for and have been busy trying to end up as successful in life as you
Really? That’s what you think?
I guarantee you that is not what most people think.
Well sorta true. But they also think of the capabilities of the car, and know it is fast and handles very well.
Drive around Williamsville/Amherst you will think Corvette = 50+ year old man driving under the speed limit…with the exception of Choko, Lndmssle, and a few others.
When I see a z06 in that area I think old man who likes to track the car…
I’m going to have to agree with you on the corvette stereotype. I rarely see anyone wide open throttling it down the road. And it’s usually an older guy driving it.
So corvette = Grandpa car
Cadillac = younger crowd but not teen agers.
Since Caddy has a board offering I wouldn’t make that statement.
The new CTS is more of a mid 20’s - 50 crew
I see more 40 - 60 in the STS
50 - 70 in the DTS
Soccer moms in the SRX
Esclades are all over the place for ownership
Granted that is what I think the target new audience is. As for used that is a different game all together.
