Keeping the other car?
Yeah, but hipefully this car doesnt take up too much of my time and money.
The buick i need to rebuild the engine and transmission so that will be a toilet flush adventure.
This the steering rack is leaking, the diff is leaking, the rear main seal might be leaking, stock shifter has to go, And needs front bumper… Id like to put an HSV bumper on it if it bolts up and lines up normally.
Oh and i hate the rims, and needs tires. Then the suspension will need a make over as well.
That stuff should all be fairly simple and easy
Yeah, as long as the rear main seal(if its leaking) is minor or slowly leaking, ill wait til i do a clutch.
Steering rack, is very common, but id like to fix it, maybe do it myself or maybe not.
Rearend same deal, i was told could just be the pinion nut needs to be tightened.
Suspension/bushings is the expensive part though, but definitely something i can do in the driveway.
The other stuff not sure if i want to crawl under it for lol
lol
Lol nice. Yea do need a shifter.
Nice, welcome to the holden club.
Congrats. I miss mine from time to time but after almost 9 years DDing one I was ready to see it go.
Guy I work with has a built trans am and is considering getting a gto. For the money I like these. Good job.
Thanks guys. The plans are to just make it a good driver, fix all bushings, try to help prevent wheel hop.
But if everytbing goes smoothly with this and thr buick if i have left over money we will see what happens
No lambo doors or Nawsssssss?!?
Looks cool, definitely needs some TLC. LS all the things
I don’t know why everyone cried like bitches on day time TV about the stock shifter in those cars-I found the one in mine to be fine. Is Pedders still the suspension choice for these cars? Mild drop, CCW’s, long tube headers, FUCK YEAH
The shifter in this is supposedly stock, and its not centering the shifter in neutral, kinda a bit sloppy. Probably because the age/miles the car has.
Everyone on the forums for these cars do say the stock shifter is bad.
Car might end up with full bolt ons and more depending how things go, how much o save this winter.
Get a MGW shifter for it…
Best mod I ever did on the corvette
good luck finding pedders stuff. there was some kinda fallout with pedders USA and the supplier in Australia.
even people selling used pedders suspension shit think its made of gold and ask a lot for it…
nice pick up, that was a girl’s car, she wanted to sell/trade it for a truck for her horsies or something?
I got the billet pro shifter, and the lou’s short stick shifter to use a screw on type knob.
I have a few sets of stock wheels if you are looking.
how soon are you looking to replace the rack? im pulling my stock one in the spring.
any modding plans? im at 687/695 at only 10lbs but I need to upgrade the fuel stuff and switch to SD if I feel the need for more oomph.
Get your suspension bits here:

Most of the GTO crowd has realized Pedders was overpriced. I was really happy with the Lovells stuff I put in mine.
Are you the one with the LSA blower setup new era made?
I saw a thread on one of the forums.
Yeah probably gonna get some stock 17s for cheap that have good tires. Pm me the details of your set tho
Thx
Thanks man. Yeah probably be spring when i do the suspension. Might pay to have one of my cars stored since i only have a 1 car garage.
