@Wahoo I met the girl you bought the car from once…and that was enough lol…she talked about this gto and all its imaginary mods like it made 800rwhp. fastest thing around according to her haha, she sold it and bought that used up cummins that I believe is down right now due to needing injectors. but good job cleaning this thing up so far and making it nice again!
Thanks, yeah she did not take care of it, did not know how to drive it. Literally after first looking at it, i was going to walk away. But she said if i buy it this week, she will sell it for 9k… Which i thought was a good deal.
I also swapped out the radiator for a low mile one because it was leaking, but unfortunately i believe the heater core is leaking, which requires pulling the entire dash out.
She also said the rear spoiler was at her grandmas house, but then never responded to me after asking about it.
why do you think the heater core is leaking? heat blew great, didn’t smell, etc.
Floor was moist under glove compartment. And fluid was low again.
These things are notorious for leaking when it rains around the door seals. The plastic sheet stick on stuff that on most cars is just for dust is important for keeping water out on these too. Yay GM.
Maybe ill figure a way to pressure test it.
So i got my wheels balanced yesterday and found the radiator leaking from a one of the plastic end caps… So guess i need to pony up for a mishimoto
you need to go back and talk to the guy who sold you a leaking radiator
Im going to, im sure he didnt realize it. Luckily its not too terrible swapping the radiator, hopefully this will resolve my issues.
