the stroker kit spooled the 35r very very nicely yes the 42r is going to be much laggier by almost 1k. I do believe that car is standalone high reving 2.2 motor. I do know the ams shop car is using the gt42r turbo unstroked and having no problem spooling up the turbo. dont quote me on that block though.
The black evo was making 601whp @32psi 2.2 ams stroker motor. On the street he was running 35psi on that 35r. hes getting power hungry again

AMS was out in full force this weekend at norwalk though. the 2 winners in power street were both AMS cars runnin low-mid 10’s on regular radials with 35R’s
their turbo 4 car did well too I believe advancing to the semis
curt is running some AMS stuff though i do believe
that car is owned by a guy named chris. but yes not all of ams’s cars are driven by the owner.

i think he’ll spool it just fine, if you check out ams’s site, their shop car runnin the same turbo is into the 9’s in the 1/4 and well over 700hp on the dyno video
