THE **iPhone** Thread (GPS, JailBreak, Apps, Etc)

BTW I have used Google Wallet and NFC Task Launcher to launch Tasker. So I have played around with this quite a bit. I am running a Galaxy Nexus. If anyone has proof of being able to access it when screen is off please let me know. I am more than interested.

I guarantee you could somehow.

Good Point…

Lol…I meant I don’t think it would be that hard. Like maybe find a way to trigger the car dock mode and then do it?

Isnt the car dock triggered by the magnetic strips on the side of your phone? So wouldn’t that be a little obvious for someone to hack in your pocket with?

Edit: I dont know because Google messed up Nexus accessories for a little while…

I’m just pitching ideas. The nexus also has those three pin connectors that I’m not exactly sure how they work. The default lock screen also allows you to avoid the swipe and hit the little menu button in the bottom right to access the phone. You can also still view the notification bar while the screen is locked.

But your screen has to be on… So what you are saying is someone could steal your phone and hack it? Because there are plenty of ways to do that without NFC… The pocket threat issue is not likely a direct threat. Besides you need to enter a pin to get into google wallet n e how.

Glad we derailed the iPhone discussion… lol

I don’t know…

Anyway, it’s too bad the iPhone doesn’t have NFC, I think that would have widened the NFC payment coverage. More iPhones, more places to pay NFC…win.

This is the sad reality, mobile technology doesn’t fully take till Apple implements. Sad but true… The fact that they are always a year or two behind makes it worse.

It doesn’t have to be Apple.

Square or someone else could come out with a NFC add on or some bs

Maybe some don’t want to buy extra devices and would rather have one that does it all. You’re such an iFag LZ lol.

While picking up the s3 last night AT&T showed me a really cool use of NFC. Samsung TecTiles.

Basically you put a little sticker on your nightstand and you can program the phone to automatically change a bunch of settings when you put it on the sticker. EX, disable SMS and email sounds, dim the screen, turn off bluetooth etc. They had another one set up for “workout” that automatically loaded a certain playlist, connected to a bluetooth dock and started playing music. They were 5 for $15 at the AT&T store.

Did you read my post?

I have A AMAZON KINDLE FIRE and A GOOGLE NEXUS 7

Not an iPad

My Desktop is a custom built PC running windows

My Laptop is a Macbook

I run what works best for me in every situation…

Mentioned it before I have had multiple Android phones for work phones and every single one sucked maybe the S3 that just came out is great? I have also had iPhones since the original and never had issues.

Android had a lot of growing to do to become a main stream stable phone OS with 4.1 it finally got there.

I realize in the past 6 months Android phones started not sucking as bad but its been years. The iPhone has been out performing everything else for the last 4-5 years.

It’s the same thing with my Macbook air nobody makes a better ultrabook right now maybe in 6 month?

Tasker does this for <$6

I don’t see why people like the iPhone so much. You can do all the same stuff with other phones in a much more complex and confusing way.

^pfft like?

Android is lame. It is just a copy of iOS

Might as well just get an android then and save some cash!
