I travel a lot and still haven’t come across a need or a chance to use NFC.
The same thing with wireless charging still some standard or its mass adopted by hotels it does me no good.
Those are still gimmicks at this point.
Siri works fine and Google also has a similar offering.
Lots of companies have huge product launches hell even Blackberry did :lol: Apple gets a lot of coverage because of profitability etc.
Revisions of the same phone will never be ground breaking things that actually changed tech/world are things like iPhone/iPod/iTunes.
The impact itunes had with the music industry and media consumption changed the way things have been done for year.
It’s the same shit with cars when the first hybrid prius came out it was a big deal now every company offers similar products.
Looks like I have a full upgrade that the company will pay for starting January.
I’ll probably just wait til then.
Like I said these thing sadly will not be adopted until Apple implements… NFC payments have saved me once or twice. I was out for a run with no money and needed water… Also wireless charging would be great. I rather spend $30 on a charging mat then on a cable for my brand new phone 
But since my phone uses a UNIVERSAL cable I never have to worry about this.
Just got my iOS txt sounds imported into the S3. My droid humper buddy is pissed… says I’m bastardizing the droid OS to make it too much like iOS. lol
If you really wanted you can make it look identical and function pretty close to an iPhone, but better

I’ve had my GS3 since whenever they first started shipping them out. I have yet to turn on my NFC radio. :shrug:

^^^ That is shitty. I wonder if its a network limitation for now to prevent their network from getting raped or if its their effort to push more Android phones than iPhones. I have noticed anytime you go into a Verizon store for an iPhone, they always talk to you for 10 minutes of why Android phones are so much better. I feel like I am on NYSpeed.
PS. Verizon and Sprint can pre order at 3:01 local time.
its not that verizon doesnt want to sell the iphone
its that the employees are trying to give you all the information to have the best device possible at the time
all new droids and now the iphone5 have LTE which is a major reason that the iphone 4s was lacking lately in sales compared to android
why pay so much money monthly for a device thats using old data technology
^^ There has been numbers leaked. Verizon makes more money per Android phone than iPhone which is why they push them more.

personally i think the iphone should start at 299 like the other premier phones that carriers sell (like razr maxx)
if people paid full retail for the device and got discounts on the plans i wonder how many people will choose that option? that would make plans cheaper, buying a phone easier and force manufacturers to lower costs in order to sell… instead they force carriers to sell at discounted rates (because no one would pay 650 for an iphone or a galaxy sIII) causing the price of montly plans to be higher
Isn’t that how it works in Europe? Or the rest of the world for that matter? I would definitely prefer a cheaper plan and more expensive phones, without a doubt.

Ordered on ATTs’ website so my Unlimited LTE plan and discount was applied properly. Hello $24 unlimited data. I just hope the thing gets here sometime soon.
I tried ordering on Apple’s website but it wouldn’t work. Everytime I clicked that I was a returning Verizon customer and hit next the same screen would pop back up. I ended up going through Verizon’s webiste.
I’m just going to wait based on the delivery time I won’t even be in town.
I will probably try an Apple store in a couple weeks.
