My heavy mobile use days are when I have to out on site to a credit union. My old iPhone 4 would get through those days without ever being plugged in with around 30-40% left when I plugged it in going to bed. My S3, doing a very similar day in the field is giving me the critical battery alarm shortly after lunch. On my regular in the office days the iPhone was usually around 50-60% at the end of the day. My S3 is usually around 20-25% when I plug it in at night if I don’t plug it in during the day at my desk. Because the battery is so bad most of the time I just leave it plugged into USB while it sits at my desk so it’s back up to 100% by lunch. I can’t say how an iPhone 5 would fare because I don’t have one.
This is only an issue when you receive from an iPhone, as far as I know. It’s unfair to blame Android, when it’s entirely possible that it’s something non-standard that Apple is doing.
I only defended 1 single point, out of a laundry list of points… hardly a defense. now go troll elsewhere. I am sure there are some honda lovers or J&J customers in a thread somewhere that deserve some flack.
lol … I stand by my statement. However, I am not here to defend android, just general discussion. In the end, nobody really cares who’s fault it is. It doesn’t work right. It bothers my wife, it bothers me, it bothers anyone who receives mms from an iPhone and has to sit through that fucking slideshow to see their picture.
Also, rooting and romming is an available option not really found on iPhones. May fix issues or allow customizations that the stock device doesn’t have.
all these issues appear to be samsung related and not android specifically…maybe you should try a phone that is not a samsung bastardized version of android…like a nexus. I personally never had any of those problems on my nexus. I always find it funny when people say android sucks when they have a smsung or HTC…that is not android it is a modified version of android that the manufacturer messed with for their liking. You want android get a nexus
anyway back to iOS 7, am I the only one that thinks the new UI looks nice, be it a more android look though?
I love the fact that Jony Ive has taken over the design work for iOS. I think it looks cool and yes, flat and sharp is the new trend in software and websites so it is no doubt that they followed suit. No point it arguing what people want and not conforming. I like the Windows phone for work as the tiles and updating is pretty sweet for my job but on a personal phone, I am sticking with my iPhone. Love the HTC phone form factors but nothing beats the iOS platform as a whole and that is where most developers are putting time into building games and apps so I rather stay there.
Younger generations are screwed. They say anyone who is an early teenager now will probably need to change their name to escape all the public information that is out there in their future when it comes to being a functional member of society.
if you hate the phone so much why dont you sell it, honestly the s3 battery life is less than spectacular, its not known for that. if you want great battery life get a basic phone (or razr maxx)
my s4 battery lasts all day no problem, my razr maxx lasts 2 days no problem (using hotspot as well)
my iphone 4 lasted all day every day but the iphone 5 is HORRIBLE, dont even think about using the hot spot feature! sure its great when its sitting in your pocket and can last quite awhile on standby, but if you used the phone its battery life is equivalent to an s3
