iTunes 8 is out. You can download it from Apple.com. The genius tool is in there and you can make playlists with it too. I have heard rumors tho in 2.1 you can use the genius tool on your iPod/iPhone itself tho.
Word to this. Tried it today. Had my phone off the charger since 7am and been playing music for 2 hours. No more email sync and battery life is solid even with 3g, edge, and wifi all on.

You select a song in your library in iTunes 8 and you can create a playlist that “fits” that type of music. Its pretty neeto
