Bad news for people looking for the iPhone 3G to be unlocked to be used on other networks.
Baseband was updated in this release. Somewhat of a setback for the dev teams.
what software are you using to unlock the 3g or even the 2g with the 2.0 software? I used ziphone with the original and 1.1.4 software. Thanks.
You can’t unlock the 3G yet for other networks but you can use QuickPWN to jail break it and install your own software on it.

yeah, I believe quickpwn does it, but be aware that you can potentially screw your phone up doing that.
edit: and AFAIK, you’ll need other hacks to get things like edge and SMS working on the network
lllink89 or something did his. i forgot the steps but i helped him out getting it working on tmobile.
Ya, i don’t plan on hacking my 3g, but i am going to put the 2g on ebay and might hack it for that… not sure though.
