No, our 3" exhausts don’t sound like angry buzzing bees in a coffee tin. They sound like a bear hell bent on vengeance for the theft of his picnic basket and honey.
EG’s Are hit or miss. Either clean and with a b18c under it, or just pathetic with their D16’s and aero kits.
I’ve driven one a couple, they feel like “short-bus” go karts. Not quite mazda miata nimble, but definitely light.
I also think they’re too common, too generalized. I love normal people turning their heads in their car and asking, “Hey man, what kind of car is that”. Rather than the odd and disapproving looks you get from people when you’re in your buddy’s EG hatch.

If you’re daily driving it, it makes no difference than a rwd, it’s not like we’re trying to compare a civic to a 240 to see which one makes a better drift car…
I’d honestly would rock a DC2 just beacuse before my kouki i use to have one lol it was a nice car…like not as fast as the s14 and doesnt slide but…still had potencial to be better obv with something crazy like a K20…i’d prolly thing of doing one agian for a d/d most def.
The good thing about civics is that in general, they have very good frames (in terms of rust). The only problem with the EG is mainly the quarter panel rusting out.
And they can definitely make a great all year round car as well as a track car. I’d like to build an EG one day.

haha, i think most of the people that read my comment were not taking me seriously lol. the civic is a car that most people love to hate, don’t ask me why. i hate them. why? cause i like to. that doesn’t mean i dodn’t respect it.

Honestly, IMO taking the easiest route to modding a car is by going through honda… no question. It is arguably the best car you can mod for the smallest amount of money. I just think it sucks because:
easiest to break into/ theft rating high
FWD: I prefer rwd/mr or even awd
its arguably hard to be different because everything’s been done…
All in all, people who knock honda’s because they are HONDA’s are idiots IMO…they are great cars to own and driveALL YEAR ROUND. Who can say they do that with their car and not feel bad about it? It would make more sense to knock the drivers/ honda enthusiast community rather than the car itself…
Look’s like a few guys are in the same boat lol. We love the 240 (because its RWD & jdm tyte yo, lol) but I think if we had a chance to build both we would. I use to hate on the fact that it was FWD when I was younger but then noticed how they can kill it on the track as well. The only problem is the civc’s are pure heat, hands down the best cop magnet IMO.
I like the look of this EG more its nice and clean. what do you think?
Why the age card? I never said anything wrong, nor did I ever say anything bad about FWD. My winter beater/daily is a FWD car.
You can’t say an EG with a stock D16 is fun to drive…it’s not. There is nothing fun about an econobox engine. A swapped EG on the other hand, it is, because it keeps its lightweight chassis yet has something more potent underneath.
