Looks nice… seems a lot of people here were down talking older Audi’s… I wonder why? They seem like they’d be pretty reliable.
Well it’s a given that an older car will have problems. My parents had a 1992 100S and that thing was at about 180k when they traded it in, and the only major maintenance that was done was the water pump replaced 2 or 3 times. I liked this car and the price, so we’ll see where it goes from here.
I owned a 1995 Audi 90q and it was more trouble than it was worth…leaked/burned oil and had many problems with the wiring. As the Audi tech told me, older Audi’s (early to mid 90’s) had horrible electrical problems because Audi made most of their systems way too sensitive.
The car was great to drive and that’s why I bought it. Hopefully some more people will chime in, but there were certain years that were troublesome for A4’s so you just need to avoid those. However, a newer Audi may not have as many problems and might be a blast to own.
On the flipside of this, you will always find those die-hards that say they’ve had their car for 200k miles with no major faults.
Right right… I mean it’s that way with every car, but it just seems the negatives about a 90s Audi were outweighing the positives… I like them alot, I’d drive one for sure. My cousin had a 01 TT quattro for a little while and it was a blast.
It does drive nice. I just miss torque.
Looks clean. Nice pick up!
Nice buy, any plans for it?
You Interested in a 2000 Jeep Grand? I’m thinking about letting my 4.7L limited go. PM if your interested. Keith
Thanks… It is suprisingly clean, still needs a Zack01GC detail though. There are some rotary swirls in the paint and little things. I’m picky.
No plans yet. It’s just a point A to point B driver for the time being.
No thanks man, I just lost my '01 Limited 4.7 about three weeks ago. I’m going to miss that thing hardcore, but not in the market for another. Thanks though.
I like it. Nice find.
Looks real nice. Shame its an auto.
That things looks like it’s in pretty good condition for being over a decade old.
I’m not too worried. Manuals are for sports cars. :bigok:
Don’t remind me. Haha
fixed lol. car looks nice…but i have a problem driving anything auto with under 275hp. I want to see this bmw
can i ask how much you picked it up for
i am a big fan of A4s and S4s…
I can see that. This thing goes well enough for what it is, though. I’ll get a standard when I pick up a performance car. I will probably get the BMW home in the next 2 weeks. It’s not much to look at, but it’s going to be a little project. Picture this, but with paint missing from the hood, roof, and decklid, smaller/uglier bottlecap wheels, and a blue interior. It’s the same color. Oh and I can’t forget the sick clear purple windscreen for the sunroof.
PM’d
Zach … when we detailing these badboys?
Well… Probably not this semester, unfortunately. The Bimmer needs work and I’m leaving the Audi at home (just like the Jeep) since I live on campus.
Thats cool … Just let me know when and I will have everything ready
