I went down to the Southside last night to see this band because Im a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. Im always skeptical of cover bands so it was gonna take some convincing to make me believe this guys are as good as people say.
From the opening song to the encore it blew my mind. These guys are absolutely amazing. They didnt miss one note all night. Everything was dead on from the singing to sound effects. I couldnt even tell a difference. They played songs from just about every Pink Floyd album.
If your a Pink Floyd fan I HIGHLY recommend going to see these guys next time they are in Pittsburgh. You will not be disappointed.
Are they PIttsburgh-based or based somewhere else? I’ve seen Pink Floyd 3 times and can remember (just barely) as a 16-year-old driving to the movie theater to see The Wall…
x2 They are great, I was at that show it wasn’t bad the rex could use some remodeling tho. Did you hear the rumor Roger Waters owns a house in Wexford…
One of the highlights of the night for me is when the played Shine On You Crazy Diamond. It one of my all time favorite Pink Floyd songs that I havent heard in quite sometime and they nailed it.
a heavy metal band called Shadows Fall did a cover of The machine. and its a good cover… i like the song, its not a hard rocked out version they did it just how it sounds by Pink floyd. it might not be a perfect cover like this tribute band cuz i dont listen to alot of pink floyd to really know, but it did sound pretty good. if you want check them out.
Did they play any pre DSOTM stuff. PF has been my favorite band since the days of Syd Barrett. “Meddle” being my favorite album of all time. Being that DSOTM came out when i was in HS, i think it’s great that PF music has withstood the test of time.
ANyone here ever see the movie? I don’t mean “the wall”, i mean the Pink Floyd movie where they play “echoes”?
They also have done a show at the Pepsi Cola Roadhouse where they played Dark Side of the Moon and plays the movie Alice in Wonderland on a screen behind them for the whole show!
