No seriously, I don’t feel like digging through all of t3h intrawebz, but from what I’ve read, the NSX beat the GTR by less than 10 seconds around the 'ring, and the GTR Spec V is going to weigh 300lbs less and pack ~50 more hp along with a much more fine-tuned suspension, aerodynamics kit and electronic system, and the Nismo will basically be like the 911 GT3 RS, a completely stripped race car that might even carry the V8 out of the 350Z that Nimso uses in the JGTC (order of letters?? lol) races.
Kramer… I don’t believe the Nismo would count… they’re aiming at the fastest production car. So a stripped version of the car I don’t think is going to count. Ontop of that, from what I’ve read on another forum
GTR and the ZR1 are under investigation for using shaved tires, race gas and kevlar brakes.

…and in normal traffic. They had to weave in and out of other cars on the Ring. The track was shut down for the GTR and ZR1.

GT3 RS is a production car, is it not? It’s just going to be like the Nismo 350Z, a limited-run production car thats 100% performance oriented, so it would “count”.
Not hating on the NSX, my friend has an 05 (the only silver 2nd generation around here) and its an absolutely incredible car, inside, outside, and riding in it (he should let me drive it later this summer, I’ve already driven his ISF with 1,200 miles on it ;D ), the stats are just pointing to the Spec V/Nismo GTR beating it by a considerable margin on the 'ring.
And about the “investigation”, if it’s true, that would obviously be a major problem, but since they’re innocent until proven guilty, there’s really no grounds for argument there. Let the investigation run it’s course.

Hey, I didn’t start the debate lol. The new NSX isn’t even in production yet. The CEO of Honda flat-out side the NSX is going to beat the GTR on the Ring. I don’t think he’s going to let the NSX out the door until it happens… so really, there’s no sense in even debating a car thats in production that used race gas, shaved tires, and kevlar brakes to a car that ran the lap in a camo cover with an extra passenger through traffic.
But bet your ass if Honda was under investigation, you would be saying “Hahaha Honda cheats…cheaters cheaters cheaters”.
Especially when that stuff hasnt been proven yet. Not to mention its alot easier to wait for one car to come out, see what it runs, then keep doing different shit to your car to make it faster(fucking honda v10, holy shit). If the nsx came out first, the gtr would now be able to do whatever it needed to do to be faster. The GTR set the bar, if the nsx beats it, fine, we’ll see if Nissan has the balls to come back to it
