I think this thread is more than needed and long overdue. Probably be able to condense a number of ongoing threads into this one.
Let’s use this as a tack board for general “I can’t even believe this bullshit could even be possible” type posts and not for your everyday run of the mill bullshit. I think exceptional bullshit content needs to be a requirement.

How is it that two diesel bulldykes (which shouldn’t be allowed to have children anyway) can screw up the raising of the child, file for benefits from the state, and then have the state come after the donor because they weren’t up to the task of raising the child? I believe these are the “parents” in question.
License to drive a car / truck / motorcycle / airplane, license / permit to buy a gun, license to practice medicine. License to have / raise children? Nope, have at it.
Heard this on talk radio this afternoon and almost couldn’t believe it was true.
Basically this girls parents wouldn’t let her use the internet after 10PM, so she mixed one of her friends prescription sleeping pills with her parents milkshakes to knock them out, all so she could use the internet.

And they want the state to pay for them. It’s bad enough we support people who “accidentally” pop out kids they can’t afford. In this case it just boils the blood.
Nice catch. My apologies for missing the full breadth of the information. My eyes were red with rising blood pressure so I had trouble reading the article. This additional information may require a # 12 on the bullshit-o-meter. Perhaps the donor could also be sued for any stupid shit the child does after growing up a bit. Why not?
I think it’s bullshit the state is doing this just to be anti-gay. If you want to stop any couples (or individuals) from adopting because they can’t afford a kid that’s a different issue but to go after one guy so you can be more anti-gay is just wrong. You wouldn’t bitch about one woman raising a kid, so how can you say two of them will be worse.
That whole thing stinks of retard. There was no doctor involved, they put up a craigslist ad for a sperm donor, he “personally delivered sperm to their home”, and they did artificial insemination at home with a syringe…
So, would it be different if he answered an ad to bang a lesbian to knock her up vs “hand delivering” (8 year old giggle) sperm for artificial insemination?
PITTSBURGH (AP) — The parents of a 2-year-old boy who was fatally mauled after falling into a wild African dogs exhibit last fall filed a lawsuit Thursday against the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, claiming officials had ample warning that parents routinely lifted children onto a rail overlooking the exhibit so they could see better.
The lawsuit filed on behalf of Jason and Elizabeth Derkosh seeks unspecified damages in the Nov. 4 death of their son, Maddox. The boy fell from a wooden railing after his mother lifted him up to get a better look at the painted dogs.
The suit claims negligence and wrongful death, criticizing the exhibit’s design and safety.
“The exhibit was in a defective, dangerous and hazardous condition by containing an unguarded open and unprotected viewing window,” the suit states. “No structure, fence, wall, obstacle or protective barrier separated the helpless Maddox from the pack of African Wild Dogs.”
The bespectacled boy, who had vision issues, became the only visitor in the zoo’s 116-year history to die when he unexpectedly lunged out of his mother’s grasp atop the wooden railing and into a net meant to catch falling debris and trash, bouncing from it and down into the dogs’ enclosure about 10 feet below.
According to the lawsuit, Elizabeth Derkosh tried to climb into the exhibit after her son, but was restrained by another zoo visitor.
“She was forced to watch helplessly as the African wild dogs savagely mauled and literally tore apart her son in front of her,” according to the Allegheny County Common Pleas lawsuit filed by Philadelphia attorney Robert Mongeluzzi, an expert in construction site and other accidental deaths.
The boy suffered more than 220 injuries, mostly bites, and bled to death in the attack which included the “evisceration of his organs of the chest, abdomen and pelvis,” the lawsuit said.
A zoo spokeswoman did not immediately comment.
“Elizabeth and Jason have asked us to find out why the Zoo had an unsafe exhibit, why they ignored warnings from their own employee regarding the very danger that killed Maddox and to ensure that no other family has to suffer the same unimaginable tragedy,” Mongeluzzi said in the statement.
The suit claims the boy’s death was preventable and that the “zoo had a duty to protect patrons and failed.”
After the boy’s death, the Pittsburgh Zoo closed the observation deck, then eventually decided to move the 10 dogs to three other American zoos. One of the 11 animals in the exhibit when the boy was mauled was killed by crews attempting to rescue the boy.
The suit alleges employees were careless and inadequately trained, using “blank tranquilizer guns and non-functioning and useless tranquilizer darts.”
Zoo President Dr. Barbara Baker said last month that the exhibit was being closed because zoo staff and surrounding community still “need time to heal” from the boy’s death.
Although the county district attorney has determined there was no criminal culpability on behalf of the boy’s mother or zoo officials, reviews by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Associations of Zoos and Aquariums were continuing. As sad as this young boy’s death was the only greater tragedy was that the other zoo patron held his mother back when she tried to rescue him. That person should have slathered her in bacon grease and slapped her in the back of the head on her way down to the pit. These are the same mentality of people who stick their heads in alligator mouths and are surprised when they damn near get their head bit off. And in typical bullshit fashion, stupidity will be rewarded with a settlement.
I’m not sure where the idiocy truly rests when it comes to responsibility. I feel it’s judges and jury’s that allow people like this, and their attorneys, to profit on our backs, be awarded huge sums of money, and procreate to let the lunacy live on. Who’s to say she didn’t do it on purpose for a payday?

I’d love to instate (<that the right spelling?) a common sense law. If you spill hot coffee on yourself because it’s sitting between your legs while driving; you cannot sue the Tim Hortons or the cup manufacturer or anyone else for that matter. It doesn’t even go to court.
