that article is a year old and that was in response to the microstamping bill they tryed to pass.
Annnnnd I failed to look at the date…:banghead
It was early and I just woke up.
OK. Time has come. Talk to me about shotguns, looking for something for home defense.
Thinking Mossberg 590
Mossberg 500 Special Purpose
I have a rem 870 collapsible stock pistol grip that i love.
the mossy 500 is like an identical gun though and cheaper. can’t go wrong.
Those remys are nice…
does anyone know if .22 rifles are included in all these bullshit rules? I have 2 .22’s with sliding stocks, dunno if there now illegal?
are they pistol grips with removeable mags? if so, then yes they are now AWs.
gsg-5, m&p-15 and mossberg tactical .22… they all have detachable mags.
do they hold more than 7 rounds?
10 round mags… i think the mags are legal i just cant load more then 7 lol… i just didnt no if .22 were apart of this ban as they were an exeption before… As far as I knew, even before this ordeal anything other then a .22 or a shotgun could not have a collapsible stock, but those two could… dont know if thats changed? Dont think a .22 would be an ideal mass murder weapon.
i’m unsure about the .22 specifically. Other than that it is considered an AW and you can keep it but will have to reg it and cannot sell it in the state.
im curious about when i leave this shithole state, will i be allowed to or prohibited from bringing my rifles with me under this new law? or would i have to transfer them through an ffl or would they be confiscated before leaving the state? anyone know for sure what the deal would be?
isn’t this still illegal because it has a pistol grip and a detachable magazine?
Why anyone is selling their AR’s is beyond me. This will go to court, and this bill will NOT come out looking like it does now. I mean, everything has a price and its hard not to when they are selling for double and triple retail values but give it time.
Anyone who is buying ARs for 3x the price now is retarded. I was looking but stopped because values will go down after this calms over.
get the 590 if you have the cash. it has a bayonet lug and a thicker barrel than the 500. the 590 passes the law enforcement and military test the 870 did not.
with the 590 you can extend the tube too. the 500 you cannot unless its a 590 barrel and mag tube on the m500. some come stock like that.
500/590 is easier to take apart and clean too. plus the safety is in the center so leftys and rightys can use it.
i would pick up the guns and check them out for yourself but to me the mossberg is the better gun. both will shoot but one has better features.
m590 blackwater is a beast or 590 spx
even before the new law i am pretty sure you cannot legally transport firearms from state to state unless you have a license or a ok from atf.
if you were going to vermont to hunt its best to let atf know. because if you get caught at the boarder you were transporting firearms illegally\
you might be covered under traveling laws tho. check with a lawyer
.22 kills more people than alot of other rounds. its cheap, quite and small. perfect for killing. i think its the deadliest round. more die from it than any other round.
you cant have a collapsible on a rifle. even if its a .17hmr. you couldnt beofre the new weird laws either
also your gun has a pistol grip and a detachable mag so its illegal in 1year.
anyone check out the prices on AR 10 round magazines on ebay. $100 a piece! wow
yup 10rd mag prices will go up alot. while semi rifles should drop alot in price.
