The OFFICIAL Gun Thread.

Had some time today with the snow to do some errands with boxersix. After returned and tackled some work in the corner of my basement to put together the gun bunch and ammo reloading set-up.

nice. someday ill set up all my reloading shit. until then i just keep buying more to add to it lol.

boxer nice work with that saiga. soon youll be doing four for me. i have one i need finished, then i want a matched set of .223, 5.45x39, and 7.62s all converted the same.

Just get ahold of me. I get a lot of “hey I want you to do this” and very little actual follow through from 99% of the people that ask me to do gun work :tongue

Lol. I won’t order the saigas until after the holidays.

I still have a muzzle brake for you to apply though. Its just a time thing for me honestly. But I would like to meet you.

damn eveybodys reload bench looks the same.

who on here pours lead? or other alloys?

My father use to do that. Has a smelting pot and some bullet molds. kind of pointless these days really but is still cool for some older shit.

I cannot find the website but there’s a guy who hand carves these insane wood stock that look like demon heads with horns and teeth all over the place.

:rofl AK’s def look awesome normal. I think it would just be cool to have the one I posted on a wall or something.

guns that were never meant to be fired.

I prefer hard chrome over gold myself. Hard chrome with nice furniture ftw.

I was going to do something similar with powdercoat on my AK pistol :rofl

Jim, im 97% sure you were a mexican gangster in a past life…

I think one was killed the instant I was born :rofl

Hahahahahahaha

Here is an interesting concept in theory

Bullet + Compensator = CompBullet

I would gladly do a side by side comparison of hand loads between these bullets and some regular balistic tip rounds, but I have some upfront questioning about them already,

How a muzzle brake works in relating to the rifle and barrel length is dependent upon a few factors and in reality the brake to achieve maximum effectiveness should be tuned to the very powder charge and weigh of the round being fired. The discharge port(s) are also calibrated in both size and location from the crown of the barrel. That right there is enough to question the reliability of a round such as this…because there is an infinite number of possible chambered bullet positions and absolutely no way to positively and consistently index the round into the breach so that the bullet leaves the muzzle in the exact same orientation every single shot(so the bullets ports are facing exactly where they should be)

Using gas to lube the barrel is good yes, but there are other ways companies have done this. Bullets still need to make barrel contact or they don’t do what they need to do.

I’d still be down for ordering a box and testing for “real world” user analysis, but until then and/or I hear that US snipers are using and trusting them to make exceptionally long hits i’d say they’re likely not worth the, without doubt, exhorbitant cost of these CNC’ed solid copper bullets.

that’s another thing too…solid copper…lolz. love to see what the kenetic energy chart is of these as well as they’re intended use. Would suck for hunting with virtually no expansion, and in comparison to tungsten/lead/steel core bullets they likely have little penetrating power in the military field.

just my .02

Gun nut out

I just got another new rifle. It’s a Hi-point 9mm carbine. There pretty cheap new too. I’m hoping to go send some rounds through it tomorrow. Does anyone else have one of these?

how cheap is “pretty cheap”?
if you dont mind telling…

$279 new + tax. It comes with a sling, 10 round mag, trigger lock, and iron sights. You can get the same rifle in a .45 cal version for the same price.
