can someone get me a link for this investigation
You already know it isn’t. The only result of the “investigation” is some more politicians with lined pockets.
under $50 a barrel and i just paid $2.59 a gallon.
Paid 1.89 for 93 on Tuesday, filled up fro 24 bucks.
cost of living in va makes up that difference in a hurry
Nah
It really doesn’t health insurance is cheap as fuck…you make a shit ton more money…taxes are a lot less…
Have you ever actually lived here? It’s not as bad as you might think.
A town house might start at 200k here but you’re starting pay is also 150% higher than NY making it affordable.
Cost of living isn’t bad, in fact a lot of things are less.
Electric - cheaper
Gas - cheaper
Car insurance - cheaper (not even required the first year)
Cable/Internet pricing - meh about the same
Food - all depends on where you eat but for the normal stuff its the same if not cheaper due to tax on food being like 2.5%
Groceries - cheaper
Taxes - cheaper
Fuck I could drag this list out all day. The only thing I see that is more expensive is housing.
+1 +1 +1
^ what part of Virginia do you live in?
Northern. Herndon to be exact.
Gas above $2 a gallon in only 4 states.
The average price of gasoline is below $2 a gallon in 46 states, according to a survey compiled for motorist group AAA and reported on its Web site. It is lowest in Missouri, at $1.541 a gallon, followed by Kansas at $1.652.
In only 4 states and the District of Columbia does the price remain above $2 a gallon. Two of those states, Alaska and Hawaii, are well above $2 - Alaska the highest at $2.778 and Hawaii next at $2.716.
Also above $2 a gallon: New York, at $2.208; Washington, D.C., at $2.066; and Vermont, at $2.009.
stupid new york!
would bet dollars to donuts that you do not MAKE a “shit ton” more money in Virginia versus downstate NY. Playing percentages, you may get to KEEP more based upon your cost of living. But percentages don’t pay bills.
Your overall EARNING potential in Virginia is in fact, a “shit ton” less.
who the hell is talking about downstate?
You can’t even compare VA to downstate…and how can you throw out “potential earning” you have NO idea what I do and the market for what I do pays more in VA…I have also got job offers from the NYC area and for some reason VA always pays more…
Housing is cheaper in VA then downstate…besides…
Electric
Gas
Health insurance
Food
Taxes
are all cheaper in VA then downstate also…
what do you do that pays more in VA?
Government IT contracts
I don’t really understand your argument…At the end of the day living in NYC vs VA I would have more money in my pocket in VA.
