I’m not really for or against the word, as I feel that words are words, so I can’t really comment. Then again…
Derrogatory? Perhaps, but lots of other words are, too, without the over-sensitive reaction of those on the receiving end (whether it be directly spoken to someone, or simply overheard.)
Again, not trying to start a “well the word nigger is this and that and history yadda.” Just some of my thoughts reading through this thread.
Did anyone else hear about the mother/daughter (not sure if they were black or not) that ordered sheets or something from an out-of-country company, and when the package arrived, the color was labled “Nigger-brown.” I heard this from a friend, so obviously I’m not 100% on details, I just thought, again, that it was interesting that (apparently) the word isn’t used as a derrogatory term in the place it originated from. Or maybe it was, I have no idea.
Also, what really grinds my gears, is the term “African American.” You’re not African American. If you were born here, you’re an American. I have German and Italian ancestors. But what am I? An American.

That’s right, we’re Americans. Guess who isn’t??? The illegal aliens aren’t Americans at all. They are just here for the party, while our taxes and health-care costs continue to rise because their free-loading asses keep taking, and don’t pay into the system.
I say we unite against them, the real enemies, and we can tell all the sissy-ass losers (Sharpton, Palosi) to stop bickering amongst themselves over stupid shit.
We can call it “Americans who have jobs, work hard, don’t have time to protest, and are sick of paying for other people’s free rides.”
We are the ones keeping this machine going. We need to unite more than anything. We have to look past race, religion, “orientation” and personality, and define people as contributors, or receivers. We have way too many free-loading assholes in this country. And I’m NOT picking on any one particular group. I discriminate equally between people who milk disability, collect unemployment but work for cash, milk welfare, come illegally, and all the dumbass politicians who enable it. Feel free to add any groups I’ve forgotten.
I hope I’m not the only one who feels this way.
