The Tesla Roadster: Electric and FAST

From my sister Nicky:

Dudes,
Take a quick peek at this beauty: http://www.teslamotors.com

Welcome back, electric! If you can get me from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds (even beating cars like the Porche Turbo at 4.2 seconds) and still be far more efficient than any gas-powered car, I’ll take you any day!! Taking into account how much CO2 is released in the production of electricity, the Tesla Roadster creates 46.1 grams per km while the Porche stands at 328.2 g/km and the Prius… 151.7 g/km.

This car costs a rather reasonable 99 grand, base price. I can’t wait until this technology is affordable for the average buyer. Just imagine how much less we’d pollute… and the convenience! Just plug it in and go  Rejoice!!

who would have thought “electric” and “car” would have been good search words?

yeah who would’ve thought… I just searched Telsa. SILLY ME.

Well that’s your problem…you spelled it wrong.

jan. spell wrong?

eep.

Merged.

Original thread date 7/20/06, damn, I’m so cutting edge. You’re so yestermonth.

Oh dear, I do believe the world is going to end now. :frowning:

No, the world won’t end…you just won’t get accurate search results with a mispelled subject:)

so hot…soooo hot

hahaha… whoops. TES-LA. guess I must really be a girl. my bad.
my mind must’ve just stuck with the way I read it the first time.

can someone fix the title at least?

really?! holy shit… so… what’s 2 +2 ? I’m not sure about that one.
and the word is “misspelled” by the way. that’s my favorite misspelled word because it makes me laugh… especially when it’s in a sentence where someone is lecturing me about a misspelling.

Oh STFU already

I never claimed to be a spelling bee champion…but when the link for the topic you’re searching for has the correct spelling, you should have followed that. I was merely stating that the reason your search results came up the way you did wasn’t because you searched for “tesla”…but that you searched for “telsa”…get over yourself, I wasn’t lecturing you on how to spell.

Back on topic, just imagine how much damage could be caused in the event of an accident when they spray water on those Lithium Ion batteries.

Wow, leave it to LXtasy to menstruate all over a thread…

Eat it…I simply stated why her search didn’t work. End of story…

On topic now, yeah those cars are pretty impressive, and actually look pretty good. It’ll be nice when the middle class can afford to have that kind of performance while lessening our dependance on foreign oil:tup:

ohh you know the rules.

no sex while you’re on the rag.

hug.

i want one of these cars.

they are already “sold out” for 2007. they’re taking reservations for 2008.

Discuss electric cars or get banned. This is your final warning.

I hope they aren’t Sony batteries, else there will be alot of DIAF going on…
