The Ultimate Automotive Gift

What would be yours?

Limits:

  • $10k max spending limit
  • Gift CANNOT be a vehicle itself

I’ve wanted to do the Lamborghini winter driving school… but I don’t think they offer it in the US anymore :frowning:

It was $5k and included 2 full days of driving Gallardo’s on a snow track, hotel accommodations, meals, etc. all in Vermont if I remember correctly.

Either forced induction kit or a driving school

My gift from the fiancee for x-mas this year is doing the BMW factory tour. The tour ends with 2 hours on the track with a high performance driving instructor in the passenger seat

Where is that?

Motorcycle tour. Maybe this one:

21 day motorycle tour of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, not entirely planned or on pavement. I’ll come up with the extra $890 on my own to get an R1200GS instead of an F650.

Or maybe a beach’s tour of Europe. Staying on pavement in 1st world countries carving up the alps could be cool too. Two weeks carving up Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany could be fun.

You can do driving tours through the swiss alps as well. That would be one badass gift!!!

I would pay someone 10k to finish my build haha.

i think its right outside greenville SC

edit: my browser and i are both slow lol

yep, it is

A complete revamp of every suspension bit, gasket, etc on the old Audi so it runs like new. Fucking waste of money but i’d totally do it.

A pimp two-post lift running on hookers and blow

The more I think about this, the more I think that 10k is a SHITLOAD of money to spend on one automotive gift that is not an actual car.

Body restoration on the hypothetical 240Z (or w/e project) that I really would love to own would be tits.

I’d take a summer of track days package for 10k. Start out local with Calabogie, Nelson Ledges, Mosport, Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen. Wrap up with some road trips to Road Atlanta and Grattan. Obviously tires/brakes/gas/lodging would come out of the 10k.

Pretty sure I’d walk away from that with a way better memories than driving a lambo in the snow.

10k will hardly get you a longblock when/if you ever build something serious bsns.

I think I would get a dope tig welder and a built transbrake powerglide/stall so that I could swap trannies for money races haha

But when you have a chick car 10k buys a LOT of “mods” for it. Things like seat covers and a little dash holder for flowers come pretty cheap.

Slightly OT, but: I was just reading that actual NOS center caps for a '69 Boss 429 Mustang run about $2K. Not the wheels, just the caps. Single most expensive vintage 'Stang to restore.

A 10k gift card to Elma Automotive so I don’t have to do any unwanted work on my cars for a looooooong time.

Off the top of my head I’d either do something like this…or just buy better dampers and a wing for my car.

A garage. I will finish whatever can’t be for $10,000; roofing, siding, whatever. So far my suggestion is the only one with lasting value.

Second choice = carbon fiber wheels

:shoot::greddy2::gtfo:

I will take a 25.5 cage please.

im with blue eyed devil.

a shop, with lifts, and tools, and all the other shit that would be needed. lol
