Are you fucking kidding me? I’ve seen people in third gear accidently put it in 2nd instead of 4th and spinning the shit out of the bearings due to over revving the engine. And in some cases spinning a bearing so bad it scores up the crankshaft.
You’re saying good drivers NEVER miss gears? Ask the best of the best on this site, it happens.
