07 cobra brand new w/ warranty > viper
If your 5’9" or less…
I’d have to agree, in two years there will most likely be something better around for $40K. And you’d have to weigh the fact of buying a new car for that price. Granted if your dead set on one type of car, then go for it. I would much rather have something now for a lot less $$.
Either the money is going to be there in two years or it won’t. In either case, getting something now for less >*.
I’m 5 11 and i dont have a problem, my buddy is 6’3 and doesnt mind
just take a little loan out and get this one
its not making much power as you can see
1000 hp @ 5000 rpm
1100 lb-ft torque @ 3800 rpm
actually, i just moved back in after 7 years out
so… lol
yes, I still can’t afford a viper
well, I could, but it would be detrimental to everything else I am saving for :
IE. House
and adding to my 401K, ROTH IRA, life insurance
im 6ft3 and i fit in in marcus’ viper just fine. I thought it would be really uncomfortable but it wasnt bad at all. Rode pretty decent and seemed comfy enough for me :gotme: It is kind of a pita to get in and out but otherwise i dont think theyre as bad as people make them seem. If youre going for the pimp factor and like to get looks it is definately the car to get. Be ready to get slammed on insurance though if you are younger :ohnoes:
elll emmmm eeeeh oh.
life>car. nothing wrong with that.
Pros:
Amazing looks (exterior)
Brutal torque
Cons:
Heavy
Shitty interior
Cant Handle
Cant Brake
Insurance
Tires
Still a Dodge
if you are pretty sure you will be able to afford a viper at 20… lol
i actually cant even type that without laughing
wait
hold on… lol
ok, what i meant to say, was if you think your PARENTS can affoard a viper for you when you are 20, then go for it and enjoy…
lol
this shit cracks me up. lol
he plays the lotto like every day… by the time he is 20, he could afford it when he wins.
those tires are a heap of shit. michelin pilot sport cups i think…i had them on my vette. 335/30/18 and they sucked so much ass…no traction until 95+ it was gay…when i shifted hard into third the car wold get sideways. ask 93 civic dx(dan) he was in the car. and they suck ass at the track…vipers are cool though… just get better tires
what sad is those r cheaper tires for that size
You also moved back to one of the two most expensive places to live… (well, inthe US, anyway, I’m sure there are even more expensive places elsewhere…
Why you would want to spend that much money on a car and not for a good education is beyond me. Anyway, good luck with that.
Ugh… typical uninformed person.
Heavy? 3400 lbs is not that heavy. Considering that was 1996 technology, and was a 450 HP car with almost 500 lb/ft of TQ, it is quite light in comparison to most everything else with that kind of power.
Shitty Interior? I wouldnt say that its shitty, I would say “Basic”. It does not fall apart, rattle, crack, peel, or otherwise deform, it is just BASIC. The Viper was not designed around Gimmicks and Do-Dads.
Cant Handle? Um… the car was deigned to be a ROAD RACE CAR. It can do 1G on the skidpad on stock tires. There is a reason the Viper GTSR won so many races… wait… ALL the races it competed in.
Braking? I’ll give you that. Gen-1 and 2 braking systems were horrible until ABS came out in 2001. Even then they werent great unless you put your foot to the floor. 2003+ is another story. The new Viper holds the braking world record.
Insurance? Would definitely surprise you. There are not enough Vipers on the road to get them blacklisted like Corvettes and Camaros. At his age, I paid LESS for a 2002 Viper than I did for a 1995 3000GT VR-4 Twin Turbo.
Tires? Well… dont drive like an asshole all the time, and you will get 15-20K miles on rears. Fronts are good for 30K. I am due now for rears at 13.5K… but that extra 1500 miles is certainly sitting in the parking lot of Salvatores. Tires about about $335/rear, $275/front… LOL, I guess thats 1$ per mm in width.
Still A Dodge? Um, LOL. Who gives a fuck who makes what if its what you want it to be. Its not like the Viper is made along side Durangos… it is hand made at its own plant, by a specific group of hand picked people who actually CARE.
Unless you know this person, I suggest you mind your own business. While I do not know him either, I do know it is quite possible for someone around the age of 20 to obtain a Viper themselves.
 to informed responses
Seriously I would look into a Z06. Easier to mod, and most likely much faster with the amount of money invested
